These postcards are killing me! You know those big postcards that are sent out "randomly" to former guests with a special rate for certain resorts? I swear I get one every time they send them out. I just got another one yesterday for 1/2/03 - 2/13/03 which is promoting certain deluxe resorts for $109 per night. I called, and it's AKL, standard view. For $109! I'm dying here. I want to go so bad. My bf and I are planning a trip later in the year but this is just killing me! Does anyone else get these postcards with great regularity? Honestly, this is the third one I've received this year. My lack of sales resistance must be legendary.

Re: These postcards are killing me! I got the value resort card for $49 a couple of nights ago. I usually don't get them and I was thinking it would be perfect for a quick getaway! My mind really started turning until I started to get practical. It is hard isn't it.

Re: These postcards are killing me! I have gotten these in the past -- but it has been awhile. I also seem to get these at times that there is absolutely NO way I could actually go! They sure are sooooooo tempting though! Michelle

Re: These postcards are killing me! I just got back and I got one. But last year I went a weekend later so maybe they were sending it from last year because last year I stayed in a deluxe resort and so they sent me a deluxe resort postcard. I'm not interested in AKL but could use the post card for Carribean Beach when it reopens??

Re: These postcards are killing me! Never got one Hopefully sometime in the next year we will get one - we bought annual passes for our upcoming December trip - now they are burning a hole in my Passporter! DH and I would like to put together a couple only weekend over February 1 for our 17th anniversary - we'll see!

Re: These postcards are killing me! I've gotten one of these every three months since our honeymoon three years ago! I think it's because we still have a day each left on our park hoppers. That has to be the system they use because we've never stayed in a WDW hotel before. I got the $49 value one a week or so ago, too.

Re: These postcards are killing me! I don't know Chrissi, we had hoppers with days left and never got a one ! I really would have loved one, too! We went three times in the last year. Oh well!

Re: These postcards are killing me! We got one about a month ago. It seemed to be right after I made the ressies for our FtW trip in May. Seemed like a tease! I guess WDW is like Don Coreleone in the Godfather...they want to make us an offer we can't refuse.

Re: These postcards are killing me! Already got ours for $79 for the Moderates and made ressies for mid Jan. (DW has a Veterinary Convention in Orlando that week and kids have off for MLK day and 2 in-service days). We now need to find good Air Fare (missed Airtran last week with $155 RT from Pit to Orlando). Any good Air deals let me know! Thanks, Jerry

Re: These postcards are killing me! I agree with Beaner. We have been members of the Disney Club for about four years now. It was not until we went last year (we stayed outside) and did not use all the days on our passes. All of the sudden we started receiving postcards and offers for the moderate and deluxe resorts. The last postcard I received was last week. It is soooooo hard to just say no.

Re: These postcards are killing me! Since we are campers, I am waiting for a special postcard for FtW! We might be able to sneak away from work if we got a nice enough package discount. We also got the Value $49. That seems like an awesome price for staying in Disney! I just wish we could take advantage of it. Who knows maybe if they twist my arm enough, I will drive down in the camper and stay in All Stars. Decisions decisions

Re: These postcards are killing me! I think it does have something to do with unused passes and less with where you've stayed previously. I know that the specials are state specific. People from VT get a certain deal etc. We stayed at a moderate last time and got the value post card. We do have 6 7 day PHPs in the safe and I think Disney hates to think you might be planning a trip and staying off site. They want to get every cent of your hotel, dining and shopping dollars.
