PO FQ Room Request We are finally going to stay at PO FQ in Sept, we were suppose to stay there back in Jan 2002 but after Sept 11th they closed and we were transfered to CBR. My question is what building would be the best. I want a non-smoking and I am also thinking about the 3rd floor as well. We will have a standard room, overlooking the parking lot I am sure. I was thinking either Building #1 or #7. Which of these 2 would be the best. Thanks for any input, I would also like to know of anything special that this resort has to offer, as I would love to explore the resort more than what we did at CBR.

Re: PO FQ Room Request On our last stay at FQ (we were there ON 9/11/01) we requested bldg #1. We always like to stay as far away from the food court/main bldg as possible because we enjoy walking and exploring the resort. I requested a ground floor room and was given an upgrade. Instead of facing the parking lot, our room faced the garden and in the center was a nice water fountain. FQ is a small resort compared to Riverside (were we stayed on trips before). My daughter is kinda disappointed that we are upgrading from FQ to AKL for our trip in May! She loved FQ THAT much!

Re: PO FQ Room Request Hi Mauimouse, I stayed at POFQ in November. I was in building #1, and found it to be well located. I was 2 minutes from the pool. The dock for the boat to DTD was just beyond that. This isn't the closest to the bus stop, but that didn't bother me. I upgraded to a water view for an extra $15 a night, and I was slad that I did. I was on the first floor. I would recommend the 3rd floor as you won't have anyone walking over your head, and you won't hearv to much either. Have fun. Joanie

Re: PO FQ Room Request I would request building 5 because there is no chance of a parking lot view. It will be either water, pool or courtyard. Courtyard is the standard view there I believe. As far as location is is slightly removed, but close to everything including the pool, hot tub, food court, boat landing and is on the side near POR. The path runs along the river in front of building 5. Building 5 is non-smoking too.

Re: PO FQ Room Request Hi Mauimouse: You can't go wrong at PO-FQ. All the buildings are relitively close to everything and for the couple extra steps you get a better view or better access to something else. It is not like POR or CBR where you can be way out there. We stayed in buidlng 7 (Off Gran Marinier and Rue de Baga if I remember correctly, yes check out the names of the lanes as you walk the resort Disney has this place down). Good luck and Remember the Magic. Jerry

Re: PO FQ Room Request We stayed in October and had a king bed, so waterview was included. We ended up in building #2, which is right next to the pool & closes to the boat to DD. It was a leisurely walk through the lobby to the busses for us. We were on the third floor, corner room overlooking garden/river. I had requested NOT pool view when I made my reservations - I had heard this view can be noisy. Our room ended up being very quiet with no traffic, because we were the furthest from the elevator/stairway. We loved this resort, and will probably stay there again next year.
