Amerihost MainGate??? OK, I am so excited! One of my employees (who I am more friends with than a "boss") was just informed by her hubby that they are going to WDW 12/2-12/9 - I will be there then! Her dd and my dd are friends too and her dd will be celebrating her birthday on 12/5. The best thing is they are newbies! So, I of course, was asked to help them with their trip! The bad thing is that they are staying offsite at the Amerihost Main Gate. I have never stayed offsite and I wouldn't recommend it, but they went and bought some kind of package over a year ago (before they had me to tell them otherwise). So, can anyone tell me the good/bad/ugly about this hotel? Do they have a Disney shuttle? They are driving so they will have a car. Thanks!

Re: Amerihost MainGate??? doesn't seem like a bad place if you aren't expecting a 5 star (or 4.. or maybe 3) resort. some reviews here: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-...ee_Florida.html some nice info here: http://www.virginholidays.co.uk/flor...issimmee.shtml and yes, they have scheduled shuttles.

Re: Amerihost MainGate??? Thanks Brad. Noreen - they got one of those timeshare speech deals. I don't know what they were thinking, but I will help them and make sure they know that NEXT TIME they have to stay onsite. Her dh didn't even take the Disney tickets, he took the Universal tickets! They just don't have a clue! I think I totally overwhelmed her this morning when I gave her a copy of my itinerary and maps of the parks and suggestions on what tickets to buy, what parks to go to on what days, etc. I did call and make AR for Crystal Palace for the 5yo's birthday. We will be joining them at MK that morning so I thought what the heck. Don't know if her dh will be happy about that or not, but I figure I can always cancel the AR if they decide not to go. Trying not to monopolize their vacation, but want them to have a good time, so I am just making suggestions (which they despartely need, believe me) they are just clueless!
