| Ramada Plaza on 192 We decided to book with a AAA rate of $63 for our first night at the Ramada Plaza on Hwy 192 in Kissimmee. It looks like it is only about a mile or so from WDW as it is listed as a Disney Good Neighbor hotel. Since we are getting in so late Friday night, we really didn't want to waste a night at our WDW resort. That is why we opted for a relatively less expensive hotel in the area. We figured we could check out then, drop our luggage at our Disney resort Saturday morning and then head to the parks! Does anybody have any experience with this hotel or know anything about it? | Re: Ramada Plaza on 192 I found a very old review (2002) on the Bidding for Travel website. It wasn't very positive, but things could have changed. Have you considered going through Priceline? For what you're paying for the Ramada, you could easily get a 3-star like the Radisson Parkway (love this place!). The Hilton at Downtown Disney has shown up lately for $60. The Priceline 3- and 4-star hotels in that area all have good ratings. For one night, it might be worth a try. I've had really good luck with Priceline, but you have to read up on the bidding strategies. We've got the Airport Hyatt for $45 a nite over Christmas, and it's supposed to be pretty awesome (Webrates were $175-200/nite). |
