Re: Drop off, take the bus, or walk? My youngest walks, my middle needs to be dropped off (early for band), and my oldest takes the bus. Three different directions, 6 miles away for the older ones!

Re: Drop off, take the bus, or walk? Both take the bus both ways. Lizzie used to walk home, but they opened the new middle school in a new location and now she has to ride the bus. Next year when she goes to High School (sob ) she can walk home again - it's right next to the old middle school.

Re: Drop off, take the bus, or walk? Take the bus. DD could walk to school because it is only a 1/2 mile away, but the school district does not recommend any child walking to school unless they live across the street. These are sad times.

Re: Drop off, take the bus, or walk? We will be doing a mix of all three. She really wants to take the bus so for sure in the morning since the bus stop is our house!

| Re: Drop off, take the bus, or walk? I drop my boys off. Last year my boys were at the same middle school, this year I have to go to the middle school and my oldest is now in high school. So I'm back to going to 2 school. He seems to like HS ok, so I guess I won't complain. | Re: Drop off, take the bus, or walk? I drive my son to school and a combination of myself, my husband or my mom picks him up. He goes to a private school about 10 minutes from my house. There are no buses and walking is not an option. |

Re: Drop off, take the bus, or walk? I drive DD 43 miles each way to school. There is no way I'd let he take a bus that far!

Re: Drop off, take the bus, or walk? The girls go to high school in Baltimore, 24 miles away. Either Pat or I drive in the morning, and I pick up in the afternoon. Total miles each day = 96 x 5 days a week = 480 miles per week.
