Beer and Baseball don\'t mix! Yesterday my DS, his friend and I went to a Yankee's game. We were having a great time and we met some very nice people sitting in front of us who were from Minnesota. They of course were cheering for the Twins because that is their team. We were talking back and forth throughout the game and having fun with them. They were being very respectful to the Yankee's fans. There was a group of 20 somethings sitting next to us who were drinking beer after beer after beer and starting to say some really rude things to the people from Minnesota. They were making offensive comments about the people and there home state. The good thing was that all of the people around them including myself kept asking them to stop and one person even went and got securtiy. They were told to either stop or be kicked out. I think there ought to be a limit to how much beer you can consume during the game. Thanks for letting me vent.

Re: Beer and Baseball don\'t mix! Unfortunately there is no limit on stupidity. I have never understood the getting loaded at a sporting event. If you want to drink to that level do it at home or at the bar and let other people enjoy the game.

Re: Beer and Baseball don\'t mix! That's one of the main reasons we don't go to Yankee games anymore Lisa . We do still go to Spring Training, but we don't seem to run into that as much there. Maybe because it is pre-season and it's more fun than competitive

Re: Beer and Baseball don\'t mix! We had a similar experience at a Celtics game during the playoffs a few years ago. The other fans were from New Jersey and it was a nasty incident. People were actually removed and asked to leave. I don't understand why people pay all that money to see a game in person and then ruin the experience for themselves (and everyone else) by consuming huge amounts of alcohol and getting out of control.

Re: Beer and Baseball don\'t mix! Try going to a Yankee game against the Red Sox at the Stadiun or see the same 2 teams face off in Fenway. Kinda redefines idiotic behavior

Re: Beer and Baseball don\'t mix! At our local independent league games (Go Chico Outlaws!) the will only sell you two beers at a time (got four people, sent 2 to the concessions), don't sell them in the stands, and stop selling with 2 outs in the home half of the seventh inning. Those who are loud or profane are escorted out of the park promptly

Re: Beer and Baseball don\'t mix! Rude. It's a shame that some people will give a particular team's fans a bad name and reputation, when they are the exception rather than the rule.
