Ugg. Problems with Disney Mobile

I've been having a few problems with my new Disney Mobile Service. I didn't want to mention them before, because I didn't want to "badmouth" Disney, but I am at my limit this morning.

1. It started when they couldn't switch my DD14's Virgin Mobile phone (pay as you go) to the Disney Family plan with us. They said they theoretically could do it, they just couldn't figure out how to do it???? It took them about 3 weeks to get her phone activated. It wasn't fun having everyone else's phones working and not DD14s. Ever have a teenage girl B**** all the time about her phone??? [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/crazy.gif[/img] They finally were able to figure it out.

2. When I signed up for the Disney Mobile service, we were supposed to get a $50 rebate for the phones, making them free. Well, I still haven't received the rebate from Oct. 27. I sent in all the proper paperwork and waited the 6-8 weeks. When I didn't receive the rebate within the 8 weeks, I called and they claim never to have received the paperwork???? I had my postal receipt showing I sent it, but that didn't matter. So I had to resubmit everything. Luckily I keep copies of all the rebates for just such a case as this. I'd feel sorry for someone who didn't keep a copy. They would be out the $250! I did check on the website for tracking and it appears they at least received my rebate this time. But I still do not have the check.

3. But the worst problem has happened this month. When DH opened this months statement (Jan. 2) it says that they did not receive payment last month. Oh gosh. So, DH looks on line at our checking account and he DID, in fact, schedule the payment. You can see online that the bank sent the check on Dec. 19 and it shows it was cashed on Dec. 28. OK. So I call up Disney mobile and they have no record of this payment - even though they cashed the check!!! I call the bank and they say they have the cashed check. So they fax this over on Jan. 8. Today THEY TURNED OUR PHONES OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG. If DH finds out he will go ballistic!! He will cancel for sure, even if we have to pay a penalty for cancelling. Of course, its my mom who finds out the phones are turned off (she is on our family plan). She called me from work this morning and said she tried to make a call and it went to guest services instead. They told her we didn't pay the bill and the phones were turned off. [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img] So my mom calls me to tell me. Ugg.

How many more things can this company lose??????????? They didn't receive my rebate submission. They didn't receive my payment. And now they didn't receive my fax????????? I am at my wits end. I actually lost it a little with the CM on the phone this morning and I don't usually do that. Luckily I had spoken with her yesterday and she remembered our conversation. She said she would have the phones turned back on. But so far nothing. My bank doesn't open until 9 am , so there is nothing more I can do except VENT!! Did I mention we have only had this service since Oct. 27!

Wow, Maggie, vent away! That is a serious lack of customer service on their part. Hope they get it resolved so you don't have to shop for another service company. Good luck.

Holy Cow Maggie! This is so NOT Disney like. Y'all need to start moving up the chain of command over there and make those complaints heard. For a company to tell someone other than the customer that a bill has not been paid actually sounds criminal to me. What about your privacy rights? This is just not right.

Hope you get your problems resolved soon! Their plan sounded so nice I was sorry that we couldn't get it in our area! Now, maybe it's a good thing that we couldn't get it here!

That is annoying! And I can understand the complaining form your daughter- my boys werent much better if they had any service issues! Pixies that it gets fixed soon!

I get so frustrated with bad service. I can really understand your frustrations. Good luck getting it sorted out. I've had problems with my cell phone provider (Cingular) every time I've made a change to the plan. I always have to check the bills carefully and end up with 2 or 3 phone calls until I get it straightened out. I don't know why they can't get things right!

Wow Maggie, you definitely have cause to be upset! I have wondered how their mobile service was. Sounds like they have quite a few kinks to work out.

I think with that many problems that they should not charge you a penalty to cancel the service. Keep documentation of every problem you have experienced. Hope things work out better for you guys in the future!

Wow Maggie, that just stinks. I wonder if they advertised so much before Christmas that the system is overloaded and the staff is overwhelmed. It's no excuse, however, for poor service and lack of knowledgable staff.

I hope you get it cleared up soon.
