Remembr that whole name change thing?

I've really been thinking about it (and DH calling me Holly a few times, which was weird), but I think I've hit on a better solution. Gray. I've always liked that part of my name. Growing up in Dept of Defense schools, I'm used to answering to it. It's on my social security card as my middle name already. It would really just be a matter of calling myself that and changing my business cards. I haven't run it by DH yet (he's been away all week, I don't want to freak him out just yet! ), but probably will tomorrow.

I'm not around my parents *that* much and DD uses a "stage" name at WDW, so it's not like a foreign concept to them. I could just say it's for my business and call it good (they do understand the difficulty with spelling/pronounciation since they've been saying, "Dawn, fawn, lawn" my whole life. )

So, whaddya think? Is Gray too weird of a first name???

Hey, DD Samantha had a hospital roommate once whose name was Chiquita (as in banana), except they pronounced it Shhha - queee - TAH. Also had a roommate with the name of Gi-Low. Well, that's how they pronounced it - it was spelled: (sing it with me, people) J-E-L-L-O.

After that, anything is normal to me. If you like the name, take it. It might get you some odd looks and such, but you can just shrug your shoulders and say: "Yeah, I don't what that woman that named me was thinking!"

Works for me. Then again, there was a student of a colleague who's name was Shi-Thead. (No, I'm NOT kidding!)
