I've posted a few things but get "scammers" that want to use money orders/shipping bla bla bla - obvious non-buyers. Do you give out your phone number or after you have a response, do you use your real email? I have some great things to sell but don't know how to do it like a pro. Any suggestions?
I am anxious to see if anyone has had success with this. I must say I had great success buying from Craigslist and got 4 georgous kitchen chairs for $25 (total not a piece) and I have several really big items I can't ebay.
I have posted and when someone responds, I gave my phone number. After I spoke to the person, I had them meet me in a parking lot and they paid me cash. It worked out well, although felt funny meeting in a parking lot. I just wanted to meet in a place I knew was a public place and their would be other people around. I didn't have any problems at all. I also mailed a couple of items, one went well, and I was paid with a Money Order...the other I was paid through PayPal and the transaction was fine but we had a "misunderstanding" about shipping. In the end, I got paid each time and each person received their merchandise.
I prefer Ebay although there are fees b/c I can see the buyer's feedback and I have never had a problem with shipping costs. Good luck.

I turned to Craigslist to sell my car after newspaper ads were getting us nowhere. After posting on Craigslist, my car sold in a week!
We used my DH's business phone number and business email. We screened the callers and emailers to make sure they were serious before we told them our address and had them come and take a look. I would use Craigslist again!
