Miss Donna... My third grade teacher... she read us "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe". She became my fifth grade teacher two years later when the one fifth grade teacher left.
Mrs. Murray for third grade. She took us on a really cool field trip to an animal sanctuary, and her daughter used to come in and play the guitar and sing for us.
Mr. Vigrass - I think that would've been the equivalent of sixth grade. He did a great job, not only of teaching us, but of getting us to take responsibility outside of class, with tasks like taking his dog out for a walk. He got a lot of respect.
i dont have much of a memory from then...... but the one teacher that stands out in my mind was Mrs Rampmyer....my first grade teacher. i remember she was very nice and sweet.
Mr. Romero and Mr. Mittenzwei co-taught my "progressive" 6th grade class. Mr. M also taught my 7th grade social studies class when we went to a middle school format in the DoD schools in Germany.
Mr. M drove a VW van (bright gold) and wore STACKED Converse tennis shoes (yep, total hippie, man!) He also had "Pandora's Box" which was a tin filled with hole punches that he would sprinkle on the floor and you had to pick them up one at a time if you got in trouble.
My second grade teacher, Mrs. Wood. My mom says she comes in the doctor's office and asks about me and was not surprised when she found out I had become a teacher myself.
