| Television Dreaming... Am I the only one who wishes you could select your channels for your dish or cable package? I dream of sitting before a grand list of channels and being allowed to pick and choose just what I want, and to say farewell to those channels I really do not want at all. Why hasn't someone came up with this? I would be in Dish TV heaven!!!!!!!!! ![]()

| "Message comeing from the great beyond. 57 channels and nothing on!!" Bruce Springsteen Yea I wish there was a place where you could choose just the stations you want. That does not seem like a unreasonable request!!! Like today I feel like watching a Mister Ed marathon!! No problem my station has it.

| Yes, that would be nice. I pretty much rotate between 10 or 15 channels - it would be nice if I was only charged for those 10 or 15, and not for the other 200 I never use! ![]()

| Yep, I've wanted a'la carte TV for years. The one thing I do miss about my DirecTv is being able to set up lists. We had a list for DDs with just their channels, and a list for us with just ours, so we never had to worry about them seeing stuff they shouldn't. With cable, we can block channels, but that means that we have to put in a code anytime WE want to watch them (and we are channel flippers during commercials...if there's a trashy one on, we switch to a different channel) so if we do have to flip/flip back, in goes the code again. I HATE that. How hard would it be to set up "lists" on cable?

| I've always thought one doller per channel would be great. My Directv bill would be cut in half!

| Count me in. The first thing I would drop is all the sports, ESPN, etc. (I hate sports) Then all the foreign language channels, as I only speak English. I figure I could cut about 75 of the 150 that I recieve. |

| Well, it isn't exactly the same, but did you hear what Netflix is up to? They plan to work an electronic company (LG, maybe?) and are going to make a device you can hook up to your TV so you can get movies on demand! No more waiting for the little red envelope! Just switch on and go for the same price as what you pay for your membership now (although you'll probably have to buy the device to hook up to your TV). It isn't exactly the same, but it sure is COOL!!!

| If Congress gets their way, ala carte pricing may become an option.

| I too think this would be great. I did read an article on this though and from what I read, it would end up costing more. I forgot the reasoning, but they said it would end up costing you more then what you are paying now. |
