|  DJ: All Grown Up and Exasperated "Stop treating me like a child, Mommy! I'm 5 1/2 now and I button my own pants! You don't need to tell me to wash my hands! I don't get dirty because I'm a grown up!" Apparently being able to button his own pants was the litmus test for determing his adult status.  It's the "Mommy" at the end of the first sentence that cracks me up, though!

| It must be the age....I think when my daughter turned 5 she told me that she was a grown-up as well....I didn't have to tell her to go to bed anymore... Now she is seven and she really thinks she is grown...she tells me all the time, Mom I am not a baby anymore...I can stay up until late becuase it is a weekend, so don't worry....then she really cements the deal when she then turns around and tells me...Mom, come with me to the bathroom...??? Guess my grown-up is just a little girl is disguise.....lol
