| Lunar Eclipse Is anyone watching the Lunar Eclipse? Our a.m. weatherman was so excited this morning, and they even had some computer animations showing what a lunar eclipse is. So far it's gone from a slight smudge on the lower left edge to about 1/3 of the moon covered. Neat! ![]() |

| When we went to supper, the moon was huge- full and beautiful! I went out just a bit ago and the moon is now a half moon! The sky is is so clear - and of course it is sooooooooooo COLD out! But it is definitely worth going outside to see!

| Its about 9:30pm here and I am watching it now. Its about half covered. I remember a couple of solar eclipses when I was kid. they told you not to look directly at the sun and of course we would still sneak a peek anyway. I remember trying to watch thru exposed negatives.

| One of the things the weather guys were raving about is that you can look directly at the lunar eclipse, while you need eye protection for the solar one. And we did the same thing - promise Mom and Dad that we wouldn't look directly at it, then do it anyway! I wonder if there are any kids who DIDN'T sneak a peak!?! |
