DD1 started walking at 13 months.
DD2 didn't start walking until about 16 months.
DD3 is 10 months and is starting to take a few steps on her own. She's been cruising the furniture for several months now and likes to walk while holding on to our oldest's shirt. She's been doing everything earlier than either of her sisters did.

Tyler took his first steps at his first birthday party and Caroline didn't walk until she was 18 months. She just wasn't interested. Now, on the other hand she could speed crawl like a demon - I used to have to run to catch her. She could get to where she wanted faster if she crawled than if she tried to walk.
Don't stress, they'll do it when they're good and ready - and then all then corners on your furniture is all eye and forehead height.
Kylor started walking at 10 months, so I just figured for some reason that Jalen would start early, too. Especially since he started crawling (well - the half crawl...he would prop himself up on both elbows and drag himself) early. Not even. I think he was close to 15 months before he started walking! He was a lightning fast crawler and could get where he needed to go quickly, so he had no reason to want to learn to walk

Mine were very different. Devin walked at 9 months...never really crawled just got up and toddled away. Thomas I worried about a bit, he didn't walk til he was abot 20 months, took him to the doctor and he said there was nothing wrong with him...when he felt like getting up and walking he would about a week later he did.
Both of my kids started walking bet2ween 12 - 14 months. They both took very tentative steps for months before actually zooming around the house.

Jordie was walking at 9 mos. Her first word was "Kitty", as well. Besides the mama dada thing.
DJ's first word was 'kitty', too! Although much later. Around 12 months for his first word. He knew a lot of baby sign language at the time and he could sign while he nursed, so talking wasn't high on his list.
Lauren was about a week shy of 15 months.
But she never went through that toddle-fall-two-steps-and-down stage either.
The first time she walked, she went all the way across the room.
Our DD started walking a bit before her first birthday, I want to say 10 or 11 months. I 'd have to check her baby book for sure. DS started around 14 months. I had to teach myself long ago not to compare the two because they will and do everything at different speeds.
