| We went to the matinee yesterday to see Wall-E - tickets were $6.50 each. I glanced at the concession prices when we went in - a small drink is up to $4.50 and a small popcorn was $5.50. No thanks - I'll get a bite to eat after the movie!

| Until April, we only paid a $1 since DD19 worked at a local movie chain. Anyway, it depends on the location in the city. One place we like is $6.50 for the matinee but a few miles down the road you only pay $5.50. Go figure that one. It goes up considerably in the evening though - about $9. Unless it is a movie I REALLY want to see on the big screen, we just wait for the DVD. We do have a couple of "dollar places" that charge $2-$3 for second run movies, but folks have ruined these theaters by not being clean and rather careless on how they treat things. I will not go to those - yuck!

| Normally it's $9 for adults (which includes my 13 yr old) but we went yesterday afternoon to see Wanted and they charged the Matinee rate which was $8 per adult. |
