| The first falling leaf I was looking out the window when, there it was! THe first brown leaf falling to the ground. And the leaves on the trees have that sort-of "crisp" sound when the wind blows. I can feel it in the air. FALL! I like to say how fall is a great time full of beautiful renewal promises and all, but..... My school jobs will be starting soon and I have to get all my plans in order. I'm bracing for that wave of calls from desperate parents who hear from new teachers that their child has this or that problem. And soon my days will be so full of "stuff" again. Summer is almost done, everybody! Any tips on how to keep the momentum up when all of nature looks like it is winding down? What do you think about fall? Do you live in one of those areas where fall is a big change, or not?

| We've got a ways to get to fall yet in Dixie. But our cottonwood did it's yearly release of un-necessary leaves, so we've got a bunch covering the yard. The rest will come later.

| Isn't there a certain fresh scent in the air when fall comes? It is like throwing open the windows and airing out the world! I just noticed that the fireflies seems to be gone, but so are the 'skitos. I planted lots of fall plants in my gardens, so I still have surprises in store!

| The leaves haven't started changing yet, but I've noticed a change in the geese. They're starting to flock and fly in groups again instead of just pairs. I hope it doesn't mean an early Fall. I'm a Summer person! I live in an area where we get maybe 4-5 weeks of true Fall weather. Then bam! Winter. I wish I knew of a way to keep Summer going.

| I haven't seen any falling leaves yet, but there is definitely a fall crispness to the air. Temps have been in the 50's at night, so it is wonderful sleeping weather. During the day it has been in the high 70's to low 80's with a brilliant blue sky and a slight breeze. I love fall! I would love it more though if it weren't followed by such long winters. ![]()

| It's been the the low 80s and 60 at night here. Definitly not our usual Aug temps. Last year at this time schools were having heat days with kids going home at 1 pm.

| I found my first leaf today, too! It was green, with some red and golden spots throughout. I almost picked it up to keep it because I thought it was so pretty!

I live up in the mountains and its just beautiful here. I like to walk outside, stand on the front porch and just breath in the air. The leaves are already starting to fall here..have been for 2 weeks now. And my mom said (2 weeks ago) that the leaves were already starting to turn in the park. AAHH I love the Fall.

| Fall is my favorite season, but we haven't seen it yet. : Still in the high 90s here, but it should be nice and cool at night within a couple of weeks.
