Keep up guys - you're a week behind, the last holiday weekend of the year was last weekend... over here at least!

This weekend we're off to my swimming partner's 65th birthday barbecue, but the forecast does not look good for it... :

We're doing the normal stuff, shopping, groceries, etc...

And getting hurricane ready, just in case. Putting things away, tree trimming, checking generators, water supplies, gas, and so forth...

Monday is a regular work day for me, so 12 hours of holiday pay, oh darn

My DD is doing a one mile run with her soccer team, then we have a BBQ after. Sunday and Monday we'll be at the beach trying to get in that last bit of summer before school starts on wednesday.

Yesterday was my youngest daughter's 13th birthday, so I took her and three friends mini golfing, to pizza, to Target, and then ice cream. Two girls slept over. I was merely transportation and money, but it was still fun. DH and DS left yesterday around noon for a weekend of camping and fishing. My oldest had her first football game of the season (she plays in the band), and slept over at a friends.
Today, it's laundry, groceries, etc. and maybe we'll catch a girlie movie while the boys are away.
Sunday and Monday will be relaxing...oh, yeah!

Today I will be painting and staining the baseboards and door mouldings for the house as we need to get them done and installed before Tuesday which is when we are having new carpet installed throughout the house. DBF will be finishing up the drywall in the basement so that he can prime and paint the basement.

Tomorrow-more of the same.

Monday I have to work, so DBF will be doing all the finishing work on the house.

Tuesday-the carpeting will be installed.

Wednesday-sleep all day to catch up on all the missed sleep this weekend.

We're going to have a BBQ. Tomorrow (Sunday) DH is going to slow-cook ribs in his smoker from morning to night. Today we just ran a bunch of shopping (love those sales) and I did some sewing. The end!

We have no plans. Labour Day Classics are on TV this weekend (Canadian football annual tradition where they match up the teams with the greatest rivalries - it's all trash talk and good hits ) I think there's a NASCAR race, so we'll watch that if we can find whatever channel it's being televised on. And hopefully DH will kill the wasp nest in the back yard and get the lawns mowed. Oh, and I'll be running the vacuum 5 times a day to try to keep the dog hair floating throughout the house to a minimum (we're fostering a dog from the Humane Shelter until Wednesday and I am allergic to her so I'm trying to take care of her shedding hair before it becomes a problem for me).

Friday night I went out to dinner and a movie with a couple of friends for one of my pal's birthday.

Yesterday I did a few things around the house, then I went to the post office, and on a marathon Wal-Mart run with my sister. Then we moved some stuff into her new apartment. Went home, showered and went to eat at Sagebrush with some friends and then back to their house for a par-tay.

Today I am helping my sister move more stuff. Tomorrow, NO plans, and I hope to keep it that way!
