| LOL .. I have OCD ... which at times can be very annoying. I am so very picky about my home and when I go somewhere I am the same way. I keep the tables and bathroom sinks and everything else wiped off. I pile all the dirty towels and washrags in one spot in the bathroom and I usually have all the trash tied up and ready for them to grab. I do make the bed but not as neat as what I do at home (only because hubby fusses at me, telling me this is vacation time)

| We try and keep everything picked up and put away. I do pile all of the dirty towels/washclothes in one corner of the bathroom. There are 4 of us in one room and I am a BIG packer so we have to keep everything organized! We all have a fitted sheet, a top sheet and a quilt that you can just pull up and straighten out at our house!

| In the morning (when I know that housekeeping will be in) I try and keep things neat and orderly. I try and organize my toiletries on the bathroom counter, pick things up around the room and if I want new towels, will make a neat pile on the floor with the used towels. I also throw the bed covers neatly as possible on the bed. Later in the day, after housekeeping, I may not be as neat, but when the next morning comes, I will neaten up again.

| I pick up as much as possible. One reason so I know where everything is. I have had things disappear from rooms before. (not disney hotels). But I do like clean towels, bathroom cleaned, and vacume ran everyday. |

| I'm a bit OCD and always keep our stuff neat and tidy by habit. I don't make the beds on vacation as that is my one thing to relax on.

| no bed making, leave towels etc on floor in bathroom, try to at least keep the vanity area somewhat neat so they can clean around it, also the counters or armoire areas/ tables i will at least have in discernible piles...will also leave them a gratuity for putting up with my pigliness...in a conspicuous place.... |

| I don't make up the bed, mostly because I am on vacation and I just want to not have to do certain things. I do clean up my personal things and keep those tidy and organized throughout the trip. I will wipe off the sink area after I finish geting ready in the morning but that is about it, the beds I leave up to the housekeepers.

| I keep my hotel room tidier than I do at home. I do it for several reasons. 1) a hotel room is a much smaller space than my home so even just a few things left out looks much worse than it does at home 2) the way I see it housekeeping's job is to clean the room (make bed, dust, vacum, clean sink, counter, toilet, and tub, and replenish towels, toilet paper, kleenex etc.) and if my stuff is scattered all over the room then I'm preventing them from doing their job thoroughly and properly and 3) if I keep the room tidy and all of my things put away it's much easier to know if something is missing or my things have been gone through. I honestly believe that 99.99% of all hotel housekeepers are honest hardworking people who wouldn't dream of takiing things that belong to a guest but I also honestly believe in not tempting that 0.01% that aren't honest by leaving my stuff laying around in plain sight particularly medications and expensive electronics. |

| I always keep them neat, and I am a bed-maker too! The reasons are more for us than the housekeepers though. I like things neat so we can keep track of our own things....things are easier to overlook or forget in a mess.
