Dumbest film critic remarks Rodger Ebert had a few dumb remarks about Spiderman and Star Wars. He said he didn't like the Spiderman because the web swinging didn't look real enough. He was swinging too fast to be possible. (I'm sure he's now the leading authority on web swinging ) As for Star Wars, he said he didn't like the movie in it's digital format. He thought it took away from the movie. He later changed that comment in the paper saying he liked it in digital. (He might have changed his mind after hearing it was how Lucas wanted it to be produced, doh!) Do you remember any dumb or wierd critic comment?

Re: Dumbest film critic remarks I take movie critics' opinions into consideration when thinking about seeing a movie; if they trash it, I will probably like it. If they like it, I'll probably fall asleep in it.

Re: Dumbest film critic remarks In his original review, Ebert said that he did not like it in its film format because the surroundings and effects looked flat. He said this is because the film was shot with digital cameras and work best with digital projectors which I also think is true. At the time of his intial review, he said he wanted to see it in digital video because he didn't get the opportunity too, so I don't hold him responsible for being an idiot there. I do think he must have been sitting on a nail or something while watching Spiderman. Ebert says compared to the comic books, the movie character has no "weight." That might be true, but then again it's a movie, not a comic book Rog .
