| Love of Disney I always kind of assumed I was the exception to the rule but maybe not. I did not get to experience Disney until I was 20 and even then it took many years for my love of Disney to grow. It really took off after I had my beautiful boys. I guess I thought that if you go as a child and see all the magic through those innocent eyes the love of disney is always there. Granted my love of the Mouse and his House is now firmly in place and the obsession is only barely under control. I thought this would be the perfect place to ask people how and when they fell in love with Disney and if seeing it a child makes it stronger? Thoughts anyone?

| My love of Disney has been since I was a child. We use to go to Disney every year and it has gotten stronger since I am adult and didn't go to Disney for 10 years when I was married to my ex husband. We couldn't afford it. |

| I have always loved Disney. My parents started taking me on opening day 1971 and it has always been part of my life. I do not have to be planning a trip or go every year for my "obsession" to be fueled. It just seems to be an inherent part of who I am.

| I first went to Disney in 2000, when I was 26. I was in love immediately! I had always enjoyed Disney things...but had never been to the parks. My moment of instant love came as I first walked out of the train station onto Town Square. It is a moment and a memory I always return to when I am having a bad day, and it always perks me up. The first time we took the kids is also special, and I love seeing it through their eyes. We are all now official Disney junkies and we love it that way! |

| My parents took us to Disney many, many times when we were kids, but I don't think I really appreciated all the "magic" of it until I went with my husband on our honeymoon. I really enjoyed the many little things that make Disney so special and unique. Now that I have kids, I see their joy and wonder at the magic and it makes each trip even better. I think the best moment on our recent trips with the kids were watching them interact with the characters. They were shy with the princesses, gave high 5's to Stitch, tried to feed Donald Duck some bacon at Chef Mickey's and just wanted to hug Mickey Mouse. Each time I see these interactions, I remember why I love Disney so much!!

| While I have great memories from our Disney visits as a child when we went as a family, to be honest, my love of Disney really took off on our honeymoon when I found someone special to share it with. That's what made the real difference to me. ![]()

| My first trip to Disneyland was in the 1960's at age 8 with my grand parents, and I have loved the Disney parks since then. Once WDW was built, my parents took me there in the first year for my 16th birthday. We've celebrated a lot of Disney birthdays in my family since then!

| My love of Disney started when I was born. Everything I had as a baby was Winnie the Pooh, so I always tell my parents that they started it. It just grew as I was a child and as continued to grow as an adult.

| well of course when I was a child, I would watch the wonderful world of disney on sunday nights, I did not get to MK WHEN it was only that park until 1975. I was so upset not getting to meet cinderella when we had lunch at the castle. then we went in HS for our SR class trip, epcot had just been built/still being built then I didnt go again until 1999 (i think) and thats when my obsession with the parks really began. I really do plan on retiring there.

| Mickey Mouse has been my pal since I was very little. But I never got to visit WDW until I was in college in 1980. And now I"m lucky enough to get to visit it every year as a DVC member.

| My LOVE of Disney started when I was born lol, My Mom loved disney very much, & wanted to share that love with me, my nursery was baby mickey, minnie, donald, pluto. I had everything disney, my 1st birthday was disney, my first trip to WDW was in 1990 when I was 2, every birthday until I was like 13 or so was something from disney, even now my 21st birthday was tinker bell. That love mom had for disney passed onto me & as I've grown up my love for disney has gotten stronger. now that I have my own family I have shared that love with my DH, & my fav disney memory has become, watching my son spend his 1st birthday in WDW meeting his fav playhouse disney pals & the look on his face when he met his beloved pal mickey mouse. It has given me great joy that my moms love for disney has not only passed tru me & my brother but is now being passed along to her grandson. |

| I went with my parents and fell in love with The Painted Desert(At least thats what I thought it was called at the time). I must have been six or seven. I could not go as often as I wanted though. Just every few years. About five years ago I just fell completely in love with it all over again. Just all the magic. |

| I grew up watching the Sunday Disney shows and televised movies (Swiss Family Robinson, The Parent Trap etc) every week and old Disney cartoons and of course, Disney movies at the cinema. I have sentimental feelings about the movies I actually saw in the theatre like Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Dumbo still as well as all the others. When my two older children were still very small we got the Disney Channel when it first came out and we loved that! My first trip in 2004 was the first trip for the kids too and to say it was magical would be an understatement. I was a grown adult shrieking from the ferry "OMG THE CASTLE! THE CASTLE!!" and my kids were utterly joyous. There have been many more magical moments since then and now I'm addicted and we go every year! I think WDW spurs emotions in a huge way in addition to providing you with a lot of fun and that's quite a feat. |
