That's gross!! I'm actually waiting for that to happen. We live out in the boonies and about this time of year the cat sits motionless and stares at the kitchen cupboard where the sink is. It gives me the heebie-jeebies!!

We got our cat from the SPCA. We wanted her to be an indoor cat, but she cried so much to go out that we finally had to let her be an indoor outdoor cat, which means she sleeps on a bed, but still gets to kill when she wants to. One evening last summer, I put my pajamas on, made myself a Gin & Tonic, and took my laptop outside to sit on our deck. Barefoot, in the dark, I stepped on something warm and squishy - a dead chipmunk our little hunter had left on our doorstep!!! I screamed for about 10 minutes.

LOL! A bra!!!

Well DH and I have 6 cats total (and 1 out-numbered dog), but our one cat is the tiniest of the bunch. She weighs 6 lbs. soaking wet and is the Alpha female, thank you very much.

I bring her in the bathroom with me when I take a shower (why not, right?) and she does the announcement too that she has found something and I tell you, everytime it's a sock from the hamper!

Oh she is so proud and rolls around with it! : She is something else!

Our cats hunt together, almost like lions. One is declawed (not my doing), but the other has her full set. One will flush out the poor little mouse and chase it to where the other is hiding to pounce on it. They take turns. I watched them take down a raccoon in the back yard last week. Actually, I tried to stop them taking down a raccoon in the back yard last week, but I was too late. Those things are vicious. But, do you know, neither of my cats had a scratch on them? Crazy animals!

I too have had hunter cats. My first cat was a Manx and he was a major hunter - never had to worry about mice - and luckily he always left them outside!! 'Course it freaked me out to watch him catch the birds - he would literally pluck them out ofthe sky!!! He then taught little George how to hunt - she was absolute murder on anything that moved in the house that wasn't bigger than her! Then after losing the first Manx, I ended up with another one and he too is a hunter - maybe it's the wild Manx strain??? After George went off to the Great Litter Box in the Sky - I adopted another cat (my neighbor found it as a very young kitten in her garden) and he, too, is the Mighty Hunter. Poor thing almost had a nervous breakdown one day though.....he had a mouse trapped and was doing the typical cat thing and playing with it before doing it in and a Mama Moose and her twin calves wandered into the yard. They were all headed towards him. He had a choice - let the mouse go and get out of the way of the moose or get stepped on! Luckily he eventually decided to get out of the way - but it was touch and go there for a bit. He really didn't want to give up his mouse!!!
