Well, it's barely 10:00am and Friday the 13th has already added some calamity to my day. One of my interns just told me that he can't work this summer, the guy in front of me at Dunkin Donuts took the last plain bagel, a squirrel ran out in front of me making me veer off the road into a bush, the hydraulics in my desk chair gave out (I feel like I'm sitting on the floor), and I forgot my coffee mug at home.
I had to deal with some stupid stuff at work before I left this morning, but nothing crazy. I have zero plans for today so as not to invite calamity into my life, lol
In my world Friday the 13th would have been bad for the squirrel because there is no way I'm driving into a bush to avoid one. Sorry about the bagel, hope your day gets better.

So far not to bad here. Got the dog out in the rain, with her rain coat. That is a good thing. She hates the rain. The only other plans we have is to go to the movies to see The Three Stooges,
Hope your day improves.

Maybe I was traumatized by Bambi when I was a kid, because I just feel terrible if I hit even the smallest animal. I can't help wondering if there's a little family waiting for it's Mommy or Daddy to return. The only exceptions are bugs and mice, unless of course, the mouse is wearing shorts and white gloves!
So far, my day has been unusually good. Yesterday I was left a message at 2 PM that my 9 AM hearing had to be re-scheduled for 2:45 because the judge had a doctor's appointment. I was in a meeting and didn't get the message until after the courts closed. My client could make the afternoon time.
Today started out well when I actually got through to the court at 8 AM and they we so nice about re-scheduling a couple of weeks out.
I also found some of my favorite Easter candy on sale half price and for the second day, had both a pear and apple at the perfect stage of ripeness.
Joanne, I break for little creatures, too. I have hit chipmunks and the sound of hit haunts me for days.
Pretty good day here too but then of course we've had positive things happen on this date - one of my aunts was born on Friday April 13th. I know she's in her late 70's at least but I'm not 100% sure of how old she actually is.
