Re: Cell phone? Don't know how I lived without one for so many years, my cell phone has been a lifesaver, a timesaver and a lifeline in case of emergency while traveling on so many occasions.

Re: Cell phone? Don't have one and don't want one. Both DSs have the prepaid kind. I've been so many places and heard people on them that I'd like to see them banded. Is it necessary for people who are out eating to spend most of the time talking to friends? It's almsot impossible to overhear some of their conversations. I realize that some people need cells for business but the rest?

Re: Cell phone? DH and I have matching cell phones. They're used mainly for talking with each other (we have unlimited minutes between our two phones) and for the weeks we don't have DH's daughter so she can get a hold of us.

Re: Cell phone? We have a 'family talk 'plan so I have one as do each of my sons. A necessity, I think once kids are driving or going out with friends who drive. Also convienent for those emergency ride home calls when older son doesnt want to ride with any of his friends (we have a no questions asked policy on this).Sheila

Re: Cell phone? Oh yes and boy was I ever glad I do a couple of weeks ago when I was alone in the car with Shane going to visit family in PA and I got a blowout on the PA turnpike No telling how long I would have sat there waiting for a trooper to happen by if I didn't have my phone to call AAA, who then called the turnpike people and had someone there to change my tire in less than 10 minutes

Re: Cell phone? We hardly ever get near our minute limit (except while in WDW), but I've called in several accidents with mine. My wife has called for an ambulance with hers a few times for injured people she has come across. Mine is on all the time, hers is on usually to call me (or an ambulance) and ask me where I am. And I always feel guilty and think I'm somewhere I should not be. ("Um, I'm at Lowe's dear looking at the chain saws & wheelbarrows" ) I also put it on vibrate inside and step out of the room or building to talk. I detest those who do not. How rude. We also wear headphones while driving. Manditory in NY.

Re: Cell phone? Two here. We never leave them on. I have voice mail and will check the messages. I think it is terrible when it goes off in mass. The priest has started to ask people to turn off all cell phones before the mass starts.
