but nobody is snoring. I may be strange but sometimes I love these afternoon showers after a hot day. When it's more humid afterwards they stink but I love when we get them and then it cools right down. Of course I like to watch the lightning too. Don't want to be out in it but I'll watch it.
We've gotten just a little sprinkle here in the last month - and I mean, it wasn't even enough to run the windshield wipers!
I also love summer storms. Actually, I love all storms as long as they don't become too intense and switch to tornadoes.
I'm waiting for that cold front, too. shirt quick storms are great but i prefer to see the sun on a regular basis, which hasn't always been the case this spring/summer.
I thought we were having a hurricane about 5pm. Then there was a loud boom and the house across the street from caught on fire. I called 911 and couldn't remember the color of the house. Nobody was home at the time, thank goodness. It's finally quieted down over here, but I heard we are going to have another round of storms around 11pm.

We had one of those storms this afternoon. It rolled in after lunch and cooled the temp down about 10 degrees and took away the humidity! It's beautiful outside now!!
It wasn't overly hot today (well not IMO) but we have another thunderstorm coming in again. We've only heard a couple of rumbles of thunder so far so I don't know if we'll actually get rain or not. Only time will tell and if we do, I don't expect it to be anything like yesterday (it was coming down really well yesterday).
We got a pretty nasty storm yesterday afternoon. This afternoon it just poured with a few rumbles of thunder. Actually now that I look out the window, it's still raining pretty good.
If you have any rain you don't need, send it to S. Illinois. We sure could use it. The farmers wish it would rain but twice they called for it and it has gone around us.
