Cell Phone #3 For those who do have cell phones, what kind of plan do you have?

Re: Cell Phone #3 I voted for National long distance but we actually have 2 plans - DH has the National or state-to-state plan while I have a free anywhere in Alabama plan with rollover minutes which I accumulate each month... I now have over 1300 rollover minutes!

Re: Cell Phone #3 We have a national plan too and I'm just about ready to cancel our long distance plan at home. Anyone just use their mobile phone at this point for all service (or is that Cell Phone Question # 4?)?

Re: Cell Phone #3 Already cancelled my home phone long distance service - with free long distance thru my cell phone, why bother?! If I could figure out a way to hook my computer into my cell phone, I wouldn't need a home phone! Anyone who knows me (and who I want to talk to ) knows to call my cell first. I think telemarketers are the only one's who call the home number!

Re: Cell Phone #3 I only have long distance for the state of Texas - but everyone I call regularly lives in Texas. I hardly ever use my home phone for long distance - only for my sister because she has a block on her phone for "unknown numbers" and my cell phone comes through that way. Needless to say I don't call her as often as I used to...

Re: Cell Phone #3 I am the only one with pre-paid Pre-paid was the best option for me because of how rarely I use the cell phone. No need to pay for minutes I won't use. Btw, I have Virgin Wireless and I love it!

Re: Cell Phone #3 Ok, I need to respond twice. I have a local plan (CT is my local area), and we just updated DH's plan from regional (VA to ME) to national so that we could use it when we went to Disney. I should go to a prepaid for mine, as I only use it for emergencies, and as others have said, why pay for something you don't use. And, my phone just broke. Sounds like this is a great opportunity to do it.

Re: Cell Phone #3 DH and I are on National and share minutes. We have two other phones on shared minutes, regional plan. I also pay $10 month for unlimited cell to cell (if it's with our company, Alltel). This was awesome when we were in WDW. I can call my two girls in Omaha (350 miles away), anytime for any amount of time and there is no charge at all. They don't offer this option anymore, so I can never change plans or I'll loose it! We must have a hard line at home for my DH, he is an attorney and cell phones can be "listened to", so a hard line will always be in our budget.

Re: Cell Phone #3 DH and I have the Family plan. 800 monthy anytime anywhere (shared) minutes in the US. We can also call ANY t-mobile customer and talk for free using zero minutes. Also weekends are free (am I sounding like a commercial yet, LOL) DH and I call each other on our cell phones and don't burn any minutes. I actually don't have a long distance plan for our home phone. Why bother?

Re: Cell Phone #3 We have not had a "regular" phone at home since September, 2002. We use our cell phones exclusively. No solisitors, and no bill for a phone we never used anyway! We have cable hookup for internet, so absolutely no use for home phone anymore!
