Exactly 6 weeks ago -- June 9 -- I was in a car accident that totaled my car. The other driver was at fault (she made an illegal left turn, which caused the collision), and the accident wasn't truly that serious, but there was frame damage to my 7-year-old Prius, and they decided to total it. We spent the next 3 weeks dealing with the aftermath and finding a new car.
I used the insurance payment as a down payment on a new 2012 Camry Hybrid. I am loving my new car! Tonight, on our way to dinner, we got rear-ended!
We were in stop-and-go traffic, so the impact wasn't that hard. The damage to my car isn't too terrible, but they'll need to replace my rear bumper.
More than anything, I'm just frustrated! It has been years since I had an accident, and now I've been involved in 2 accidents in the last 6 weeks, neither of which was my fault. And now I have to deal with the hassle of getting my new car fixed.
I'm grateful no one was hurt (both kids were in the car with us), and I know that the damage is pretty minimal, but it's still a major bummer!!

So sorry to hear that! Glad to hear everyone was ok.
We are going thru something very similar. My DD was in a chain reaction accident a little over 7 months ago. She had to have both front and rear bumpers on her truck fixed. We've had the truck back, maybe 5 1/2 months and she was rear ended again last week. It's been crazy on the roads lately.
We had something similar happen a few years ago - DH was rear-ended or t-boned almost every week for 6 months! Usually not enough to worry about, but we did have the truck in the shop more than it was out!
I'm glad no-one was injured. Bummer about the car, though.
