no parties for us, DH is unable......we will be hosting an open house on Christmas and New Years Day. Our families do invite us/me actually but I feel guilty leaving him so we just have family come to us.
I think this year we just have one Christmas party to attend. Our small group at church is having a small party at a local Italian restaurant on December 15th.
We host Christmas eve at my house for my parents and sister's family (the only ones in town).
My office is having a late lunch or early dinner party at a local watering hole next week.
My Book Club has a holiday evening/late dinner next week.
I've been invited to another party the weekend before Christmas but will likely not attend that. And I usually get a Cookie Swap invitation each year from an old coworker but haven't received that yet.
No parties, and we won't be attending any family shindigs this year due to schedule conflicts. But that's ok, because I am horrible at small talk and I am kinda the black sheep in my family. My mother will probably come over to our house on Christmas Eve as she has for the past four years and spend the night.
DH's work Christmas party is this Friday. On Christmas day we will go to his parent's house first for lunch and my parent's for dinner. No entertaining going on at our house.
Work Christmas party I won't be attending: it's in a co-worker's house, it's over an hour drive from me, and spouses aren't invited. Nope, the one day this week I have with my DH, I won't go to a party without him.
Other than that, we'll be going to DD's house for Christmas and maybe seeing DH's family - but probably not, for a huge slew of reasons that include them being butts.
According to my calendar, there's a total of ten Christmas events that I am attending:
Purdue Christmas Show - last weekend - with party afterwards
Lumcheon at work 12/06
Church women's group Christmas Luncheon 12/08
Church children's pagent / celebration 12/09
Official (free) Christmas dinner at work 12/11
Church Choir cantata and party 12/16
Work Department Dinner and Christmas Party 12/19
Work Secret Santa Luncheon and final gift exchange 12/20
Christmas Party at DD1's in-laws 12/24
Christmas at DGD1's house 12/25
I will NOT be having any parties at my house!! : To do so would mean that I would have to clean the house and put up some decorations!
