| Rough Day - Updated
I spent most of today at school getting my classroom ready, well really fretting over a major problem.
It seems that we don't have enough 1st graders this year and will probably lose a teacher. We are all very close, and work so well together, so this is devastating for all of us. I'm just so sad... [img]images/icons/frown.gif[/img]

Oh no! Are there any teachers who were planning to leave anyway?? Can they change this around at this late date and time? I know around here - they have to make contractual decisions by April 15th. If you haven't heard otherwise by April 15th - you've got a job for the next school year! Maybe they will split a different grade into smaller classes?
I know that we have plenty of 1st graders this year, but only 10 kindergarteners in each session - last year there were 20 in each with Sarah's class!  | |

Seems that those guys in the "Big House" didn't think our school needed to be rezoned this year and decided to wait until next year. So other schools are overcrowded and we don't have enough! And for this kind of thinking they make the big bucks!! [img]images/icons/mad.gif[/img] | |

Well we got the "official" word today - they took our teacher. [img]images/icons/frown.gif[/img]
Right now she will be a "floater" (whatever that is!) until they can figure out where to send her. She will have a job, she just doesn't know what she will be doing this year.
Our team has spent a large part of today [img]graemlins/cry2.gif[/img]
Right now I'm stuffing my face with leftover birthday cake hoping it will make things better... | |
