| Re: 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall, 99 Bottles of Beer! Yep, we did...paid for it and everything. After the wedding we found out they were charging people for drinks. I was not a happy camper. And no, the country club never reimbursed us. |

| Re: 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall, 99 Bottles of Beer! I think it was an open bar. If I'm remembering right the only way we could get a liquor permit for the hall was if the booze was free to our guests. There are a lot of AA's in DH's family so we didn't really go through a lot. |

| Re: 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall, 99 Bottles of Beer! We told all of our guests in advance that we would only be serving champagne for the toast. Otherwise, the reception would be dry because there was no hotel nearby for the drunks to sleep it off. I'm ashamed to say, they took it upon themselves to provide the drinks. My own mother brought a keg of beer and one of rootbeer, my MIL brought several bottles of wine, my bridesmaids had a minibar in a backpack stashed under the head table complete with margarita slushies, and my matron of honor brought along a huge flask of Jack and fixed me a Jack and Coke before my walk down the aisle. (I was really nervous. ) I was really angry they'd ignored our wishes until I realized the punch I'd been drinking had also been spiked by a well-meaning cousin. After that, I really didn't care. DH stayed sober enough to drive us to our hotel and fortunately someone had the forethought to designate a few drivers - mostly the pregnant moms and relatives on medication - great choices. | Re: 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall, 99 Bottles of Beer! We sure did! But that was after Rusty's mom asked me in a horrified voice, "You're not having an open bar, are you?" I said "Sure I am! Otherwise all my relatives will talk about me for years to come!" |

| Re: 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall, 99 Bottles of Beer! I don't believe we did, because we had to pay for the evening section and the food was costing us enough. |
