Not a peanut butter question, a milk question. DH usually gets home after I do, and calls when he's about 10 minutes out. His question is always the same, "Do you need anything?". My answer almost every time is MILK! We must go through a gallon every day and a half. How often do you buy milk? (and what kind? we get skim)

Re: Not a peanut butter question, a milk question. We buy four gallons when we go food shopping, then we probably get it at least twice more! You must remember I live with three teenagers! We buy 2% milk.

Re: Not a peanut butter question, a milk question. In one month I can go through 4 or 5 gallons. It is just my son and I but I am a milk lover. I buy 2% milk always.

Re: Not a peanut butter question, a milk question. Whole milk . . . I don't drink it very often and DH doesn't drink it at all (he might be lactose intolerant, but he won't go to the doc to find out), so we just get a gallon (more if we use it to cook with, or if it expires) every two weeks. It's just my little Skinny Minnie that drinks it (chocolate, every morning and at least once a day more!!!)

Re: Not a peanut butter question, a milk question. DS(21) drinks A LOT of milk! I buy about 3 gallons of 2% a week just for him and his Dad, who only drinks a small cup in the morning and at dinner, and uses a little bit in his coffee every morning. I buy a gallon of skim for me about once every other week. I like how skim milk lasts so much longer.

Re: Not a peanut butter question, a milk question. For a family of three I feel we go through a TON of milk... I buy 1/2 gallon cartons - usually about 4 per week. DD loves milk with every meal and I drink lots of coffee and tea with milk...plus cereal. I buy organic skim~

Re: Not a peanut butter question, a milk question. I used to go through about a gallon a day, but now that I am not drinking much, and Amanda has cut way back - we're doing about a gallon every two days. I only buy skim now that the girls are older. When they were toddlers - I bought skim for John & I, and whole for the little one(s). Sarah is currently refusing to drink her white milk - she only wants chocolate (and what Sarah wants - Sarah gets!)

Re: Not a peanut butter question, a milk question. About a gallon of 2% per week. I also buy soy milk for my son--that's all he can tolerate.
