| question about old park hoppers I'm sure someone out there can answer this question for me. We have some old park hoppers with 2 plus features each. The last time we used them was at a water park last summer. Does anyone know when they started the finger scan thing for everyone entering the water parks? We want to gift these tickets to some friends, but don't want them to get stuck trying to use them, if they've been coded to our prints.

| Re: question about old park hoppers Did you have to do the finger scan last year? If not, it shouldn't be an issue because your finger scans aren't on record. If you used those tickets at one of the other parks it could be an issue because I would assume the scanners are universal and your scans would be on record at all Disney parks. I'm not certain, but that would be my thought. Hope that makes sense...it's still a bit early here. LOL |

| Re: question about old park hoppers We just got back from WDW and I have to wonder about the use/purpose for the finger scan at all. On very busy mornings at AK and MK, we were allowed to just run our card thru, NO finger scan at all. Then another time, I had a cut on my index finger and had a bandage on it so I couldn't use it to scan. When I pointed this out to the CM at the entry, she said "Just use any other finger"- which I did and gained immediate entry.... so it makes you wonder whether they're actually using this scan for anything at all. |

You know, I've heard the same thing about the finger scans. My experience in September was that if our finger scan didn't read right, we were allowed through any way. In my opinion, if you have a ticket, you should be allowed entry.

| Re: question about old park hoppers The problem is, no one in my family can remember if we finger scanned last year. These hoppers are at least 3 years old -- dd is now 12 and they are from when she got in as a child, so except for the water park use last year we haven't used them in a long time.
Any one remember if they were scanning at the water parks last year?
