Reason: added 2008 P&PP info
Thanks for this Jennifer. I've just posted a question about MNSSHP in the planning forum.
One of the "guessed" dates for MNSSHP is October 1st, what I was wondering is if Disney would plan a party on this date as it's MK's birthday & EPCOT's 25th birthday that day because it would mean that the park would close at 7pm to guests not attending.
I'm curious because this is the date we were planning to attend, (if it happens that is)

Thanks Jennifer. My family and I are planning on attending the P&PP on August 24th. I love it that there will be a thread I can check that will have a TON of information.
Thank you!!! I'm lucky enough to have P & P happening during our trip in August. I've changed my ADRs.....now I'm just waiting for tickets to go on sale

Thanks for starting a thread on this topic. We are arriving to WDW on Oct. 31 & plan on attending MNSSHP (even though I know it will be BUSY) on that date. We don't leave until Nov. 14 and so we are hoping do to MVMCP on Nov. 13 if it is offered that date this year.
How funny, we could potentially be celebrating Halloween & Christmas during one vacation. Throw in my son's first birthday while we are there & we are going to have 2 weeks full of different celebrations

Next WDW Vacaton: September 22, 2007-October 6, 2007 **Changed res. for free dining promotion, but we are still Celebrating son's 1st Birthday which is Nov. 12.
Thanks Jennifer for starting this thread.
We are anxiously awaiting the dates for MVMCP. I know when we want to go, and hope that day will be available.
Isn't planning wonderful?

We will be in WDW 9/8 - 9/16. We were planning on going to MK on Friday, 9/14, until MNSSHP started at 7 p.m. We were then going to leave the park, take the boat to WL and have dinner at WCC.
When I was on the phone with Disney this morning getting my free dining, the CM asked if we were doing MNSSHP. I said that we weren't big Halloween people, but she encouraged us to go because "you'll walk onto every ride." It's a lot of money - four adults & one child ticket - however, we are saving on dining.
I'm just wondering if it's worth it. We would probably move our WCC ADRs to as early as possible (5 p.m.) and head back to MNSSHP after dinner. We would still be in the park that day and have a breakfast ADR for 8 a.m. the next morning. It sounds fun but exhausting.
My kids are 12, 10 and 8 and don't have a problem with staying up late or getting up early. Any input? Is MNSSHP really that deserted early on?
Did I miss something? I didn't know the dates were released for this year.
I would be on the side of - go for it. It's fun to try something new. Yes, it is extra $$$, but there's a lot to be done! The parade is a hoot! There are things you'll never see any other time of the year. Before the parade, the Headless Horseman does his ride. It's exciting! The characters are dressed up for the holiday which offers some great pics. There is trick or treating everywhere.
If your kids don't mind the long and early hours, I say give it a try. It is just so much fun! I'd highly recommend it!
