Where is the best place to stand when watching the new Block Party Bash parade? We went to our favorite spot where the parade goes back to the lot and we missed so much with this new parade.
Thanks so much!

We were recommended a spot on Hollywood Boulevard by a CM, and it was perfect. We were the left side of the street, by the Keystone Clothiers building. The location we were standing at was where the Monster's Inc (middle) section of the parade stopped. Further up the street, towards the Sorcerer's Hat is the Toy Story (lead) section of the parade; and further down the street, by Sid Cahuenga's One of a Kind is the Bug's Life (end) section of the parade.
The way the parade works it that the Toy Story section leads, and then all floats (there are 3 main ones, and several small "prop" floats) get to their marks and the party begins. The first stop is along Hollywood Blvd, between Mickey’s of Hollywood and the tip board . The second stop is at the Echo Lake area, between the ABC theater and Sounds Dangerous. It's identical in layout as the Hollywood Blvd stop, with Toy Story leading, and Bug's life bringing up the rear.
Dave, please correct me if I'm wrong, but do any of the floats actually ever stop at the Sorcerer's hat?
There are some pros/cons of this parade, IMHO. Pro: If you're in one of the areas where the parade stops, the actual "Bash" is a lot of fun. It's exiting and designed to get you moving.
Cons: If you're in front of one of the floats, the other 2 don't stop in front of you to dance. So you miss out on seeing what's going on at the other two, which is a shame, because each float has different characters, and the dancers all wear different costumes and have different props.
Another con is if you're at the second stop, you have to wait for the parade to get there; plus it's kind of a spoiler, because you hear the music, but you can't really see what's going on.
Here's a picture to show you exactly how close we were at the Monster's Inc Stop:
FYI, Sully danced in front of us for almost the entire stop. to that CM that pointed out the perfect spot!
We were later finding a spot for the parade, so we found a spot almost across from the new American Idol spot and we too had the Monsters Inc. float. The girls loved it.
