All the above said - the prices do come down on the 19th April as Disney hit's regular season so maybe it will ease off some at least that's what the Unofficial Guide also predicts
We're going at the same time; it's spring break in NH as well. It won't be too bad if you hit the parks early, take a break mid afternoon and head back in the late afternoon. We've travelled at this time before and survived.
Note: On April 24, there is a magical musical day at Epcot where there will be lots of high school band kids in the parks. I know of 100 from our school who are going. Schedule accordingly!
You'll be fine. Just keep in mind that you will not be able to do everything that you want to do. Once you realize that the best way to see WDW is to take breaks throughout the day and slow down a little bit you should be fine! Like the others said take advantage of fastpass and make sure you take a nap/quiet time break during the day.
By the way, we don't get sick of people around here. Last year was my first trip and everyone on this board is very patient and willing to help! Ask as many questions as you need to.

Next visit to WDW (hopefully!) Aug 2010!
I grew in Jersey and that was the week we had our Spring Break every year! So its definitely gets hectic... but also note that schools have very different holiday schedules, some having Spring Break as early as March, some as late as the week after you! I think when you are going is on the slower end of the Spring Break rush but its still a peak period. I'm going in early April (8th-13th), which I did last year and it was crowded but doable. But I don't worry about the crowds- I usually go during Christmas and sure its crazy but every year we still manage to get everything done and have an amazing time to do it. Have fun!!
Busy probably, but Disney is shortening park hours and resort prices are going down (also holiday pricing will be off the buffets) on the 19th so they are expecting the biggest crowds to be gone. Plan well and you'll be fine.
I was worried about crowds as well being last year we went during the 4th of July week however, everyone is right, if you plan what are your must dos, you should be fine. I think that may be grad week as well in Florida. I remember I scheduled my trip a couple of days after grad week because I figured it should be the end of the Spring rush. Either way, you're at Disney! It'll be great.

It will be crowded but not unmanagable. Just remember that it is spring break which means lots of kids, so have lots of patience! Take your time, don't try to do everything and enjoy yourselves. We were there the week of Xmas and it was crowded and we did not get to do everything we wanted to but we still had lots of fun and some magical moments. It was worth it! April is a great time weather wise, not too hot and not too cold, so it is worth dealing with a few crowds. Have a fantastic trip!
We went last year over my Spring Break (elem. librarian here) and it wasn't all that bad. We've been various times of the year and I think it was comparable to our summer experiences. We're going again a week before you, which is again my Spring Break.
