Hi
I am new to these boards and am Thrilled to be celebrating our son's 9th birthday at Hollywood Studios for SWW....his first trip to disney and he is so excited about this....but I need to know if this is going to be too scary for his sisters, ages 7 and 2...and any hints on how to get picked as a Padewan learner?
TIA
Mary Anne
SWW are quite fun and I don't see it as menacing or scary -- I'd get out of the way if Darth Vader or Darth Maul are around....
Good luck getting picked for the Jedi Academy! I don't know of any tricks, but let your son where whatever costume he's got -- that is always good for attention.

I just wanted to wish you luck with your Star Wars weekend. I just met Luke and Princess Leia in real life. Luke was great. Very friendly and funny and loved greeting fans. Princess Leia----was a mess!!! I hope she starts feeling better soon. I love everything Star Wars and Star Trek. Have fun.
We've been to Star Wars Weekends for a while now and really haven't felt that any of it is scary unless Darth Vader is roaming around and our DD just doesn't like him. Have a great time!

A trick for getting picked is to be at the front, waving and smiling and wear a bright colored shirt like orange. A bonus would be to have a Star Wars character on it.
My friend told me these tips and every time they've gone, her DS has gotten picked.
