My DH and I were talking about the new Fantasyland and got onto the topic of Dumbo. We started talking about how it takes soooo long to load the ride and get it going. He asked me and I didn't know the answer to this one. Does anyone know why exactly they give you your color card to put on the "wing" of your ride? I figured it was a way of counting how many people are in a loading area, but then it seemed like it would be easier to just use a hand clicker to keep track of that.
Yes, it's to load the ride. There are as many tickets as there are Dumbos. The problem with just using a clicker is it's not a good way of knowing how many Dumbos you are going to use. By using the cards, it keeps the party together and everyone in their Dumbo!
It keeps the people who said they were sharing a DUmbo from changing thier minds once they get to choose a dumbo. then there is no disappointment whne they are a Dumbo short. If you want to ride in your own Dumbo, then you tell them before you get your card. I have nephews , that after a certain age wanted to ride thier own, so we would each say 1 rider or party of 1. Then we would each receive a ticket.
