"Surprise" Fast Pass (not really)

WDW has gotten sneaky with crowd control. My friend and I went to MK on NYE this year (busiest day EVER...and I have been on Thanksgiving day and Christmas day). We got a FP for Buzz Light year and guess what popped out....a "Surprise" FP for Carousal of Progress. Funny since the ride NEVER has a line (as many of us vetrans know). We both laughed about it and did as Disney said and took a trip through the world of progress.

Yeah that happened to us in August. We got a FP for peter pan and got a bonus FP for philharmagic! I know this has happened from time to time but never to us I think they try to draw attention to less popular attractions

This happened to us twice, once in August and once again on this last trip in November. Both times we got a surprise FP for Philharmagic when we got our Pooh FPs. At first I got really excited until I saw what it was for - LOL! We love Philharmagic but have rarely waited more than a few minutes for it. At least they have a legitimate FP entrance, unlike Carousel of Progress! That's pretty funny. A good idea on Disney's part, though!

It seems like the bonus FPs come are centered within the land the ride your attempting to get a real FP for is actually in. Pan/Pooh= Philharmagic. Buzz= CoP

If I got one, and there were barely any lines for the ride, I'd keep the Fastpass as a souvenier!

That would be my luck. Get something to shorten the line when there are no lines
