I have a baggallini messenger sling bag.. Love it! I used it for our trips in 2009 and 2010. Well, near the end of our last trip the zipper on the strap got stuck. My iphone was stuck inside. We ended up having to cut the zipper to get my phone out. Talk about panic. lol I mentioned to dh yesterday that I need to find someone to replace the zipper. He said, just buy a new bag.
So.... I dont know if I should buy another baggallini, or if there is another type bag everyone has grown to love since i purchased mine two years ago.
I like the light cross body backpack I have from LLBean. I got it years ago, but it's starting to show its age. (I think I got 8 trips out of it between WDW and DL.)
A quick glance at their website doesn't really show the type of bag I have, so I'm interested in seeing what others use as well.
I totally love it and can't see needing anything larger until I have kids. It has a compartment for everything, and I love feeling organized. There are three sections (as you can see) and also an additional zipper pouch that's pressed against your hip--perfect for KTTW card, ID and FPs!

I'm not a fan of my baggallini messenger bag, and I'm trying to figure yours out from the photo.
Do you wear it crossbody? The position of the straps has me confused -- does it naturally "fall" in the front, or the back?
What I didn't like about my baggallini was that it was only comfortable in back, and I never could get the hang of using it -- I didn't like having to swing it around to the front every time I wanted to get to something.
I've been using a bagallini backpack that works well for me. The straps zip together to turn it into a cross body bag, but I never use it that way. It has two compartments on either side that zip closed and are the perfect size for my camera on one side and my phone on the other. And it sits on my back in the perfect position so I can access these two things without taking of the bag. It isn't very big, but it holds a lot of stuff if you need it to. I really like it for my WDW trips.
I actually bought a $10 bag from Target for my "carry around" park bag. We have a tote we stick in the basket under the stroller with baggies, a change of clothes for DD, and snacks and things, that we leave there while we go on rides, but I wanted something I could just wear all day, that would carry all of my important stuff that I wouldn't leave in the stroller.
It will comfortably hold my wallet, cell phone, camera, pens and pad of paper, and the strap is adjustable to be SUPER long, so I can wear it across my chest and it will hang in front (for easy access).
There's also a pocket right in front where I plan to put my KTTW card and park ticket.
I don't need a bag as large as the baggellini messenger bag. So I am scouting for something a bit smaller. I do like the cross body. My only complaint was the bag felt heavy (could be contents. lol) and it pulled on my shoulder and was uncomfortable there.
Like the bag from target! and $10 is a great deal.

Carolyn, I wear it as a cross body--depending on how I'm standing, the bag naturally rests on the front of my thigh or slightly to the side on my hip.
You can see examples (photos of me wearing it in the park) here and here.

I feel the same way! I always just bring a backpack now. Plus, I carry way too much stuff for a Baggallini!
I got a great one from Lillian Vernon a few years that I really loved in the parks. It is made out of neoprene so it's pretty water resistant...the straps zip apart so it can be a normal bag or a backpack. It is relatively small, but can carry a TON of stuff. I would take PP pages, my camera, snacks, water bottles and more on a daily basis. It has a lot of pockets and things so I could keep things really organized. I see they aren't carrying it any more, but I would recommend just checking their site every once in a while...even if the same one doesn't come back, their bags are really pretty good deals. (I think that bag cost me about $15.)
While I'm not a huge fan of the Baggalini Messenger, and I don't use it any other time, it seems to work for me for the parks. I've used it on four trips now. It holds everything I need without becoming super heavy.
