Transfer the tickets to our KTTW in October, then keep them on that media

Transfer the tickets three times – once for each trip
We purchased 10-day, non-expiring tickets to use over the course of three trips (taking place between October 2011 and January 2013). Does anyone have experience with transferring ticket media more than once?
Our tickets are printed on a durable plastic-type material (tyveck?). I’m sure they’ll last the year and a half we’ll have them, but I am concerned because they’re small and rather flimsy, not thick and sturdy like the KTTW cards. Frankly, I’m afraid I’ll lose them. (I did make several photocopies of the ticket backs to save the information, so it wouldn’t be the end of the world if I did lose them.)
Would it be possible to transfer the tickets to our KTTW in October, save those KTTW cards, then transfer the tickets from the old KTTW to our new KTTW in December, then save those KTTW cards and have them transferred to yet another KTTW again for our final trip in January 2013?
In the end, we’d be transferring tickets three times. Is this possible? Or even smart? Does anyone have any experience transferring tickets—good or bad?? Is it difficult to transfer the remaining days of the ticket from KTTW to KTTW?? Should we just leave them on the original ticket media?
since every option requires you to keep track of something (either the ticket or an old KTTW card) and bring it back with you, I'd just leave them on the original ticket media
I agree you're better on the original media. We've had APs before (same paper/tyvek material) and used them close to 30 days one year. Never had any issues with them tearing!
I would keep them on the original ticket media. I agree with Marnie, those tickets are pretty durable. My AP was fine over the course of 3 trips, no issues.
Personally, I've had better luck with keeping the tickets on the Tyvex material. They "de-mag" less than the key card data strip.
That's been my experience as well. I've had several APs over the years, and none of them have malfunctioned, while I have a one or two KTTW cards and plastic off-site hotel keys malfunction.
Especially if you store them in the little paper folder/wallet thing they give out at the Guest Services windows. It protects them from cell phones and keeps them in great shape.
I'd keep them as they are I have had an AP continuously since 2008 since I live near WDW and use it at least once a month maybe more and the pass has never had trouble holding up to the use each year. They don't demagnatize as much as the KTTW cards used to when we would use those.

I absolutely prefer the tyvek ticket media. I like that each one looks different, with a cute character on it, so we automatically know which ticket belongs to which person with a glance. I like that they are slim and easy to store in a wallet or Passporter Pouch. I like that they last a long time. I would never transfer my tickets to a KTTW if I didn't need to.

Also it sounds like it would be a hassle/waste of good disney time to try and transfer the tickets each time.
I think you would need to run the tyvek card through a heavy duty shredder for them to be damaged. The only time I've had ours demag was when my husband kept put his sunglass attatchment to his glasses in the pocket of his shorts that also held the tix. The sunglass thing has magnets on it.
