Not sure if I'm posting in the right place. I'm here now and it looks like this train has no plan of going anywhere. We are really trying to make the best of it, but I'm really sad. I know you would understand. I know in lucky to be here in the first place, but still sad that I've been planning for so long and had such high expectations. We have already been through this with Tropical Storm Faye a few years back and not sure if I have energy to do it again. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent. I feel better already, lol.
I completely understand your frustration. Even though most of us would say being in Disney with rain is better than not being in Disney at all, it's a little different when you talking about a tropical storm. Plus, sometimes you just want a little sun with your Disney vacation, or actually walk around the parks without constantly wearing a dripping wet poncho. I hope things clear up for you and you're able to make the best of it thought.
I am so sorry. I was just telling my DH last night I feel so sorry for the people down there now. I understand your sadness and frustration. I would be very sad too. Pleas try to make the best of it and have some fun. ixie"
I know it must be a big disappointment. I will say though, that my one of my most favorite days at WDW was during a Tropical Storm (on our first trip). I know that seems weird, but we had a great day of hitting our highlights of the trip again and were lucky to get to see the MK parade and fireworks (this is back when they only did them on Saturdays) when the weather cleared up just enough. I hope your trip is better than you think it will be!
I hope you get some dry and sun along the way. I know you'll make the most of it, but it is a downer to have that much rain when you've saved money and dreamed of this trip for so long. Hoping a little Disney magic comes your way.
Ugh!!! I'm a Tropical Strom Faye survivor too! Went thru 2 ponchos!! I had water park tickets and didn't know if we'd be able to use them. My fingers were so waterlogged I had no finger prints.
But on the bright side. The crowds were less, lines shorter, guess cause the locals stayed away! And the rains eventually did stop, and the last half of our trip we had sunshine and water parks.
Hang in there
Thanks guys. I knew you'd understand. Don't get me wrong, I'd still rather be here than anywhere else, but just a little sad. We will definitely still have fun though. We even went swimming yesterday.
Hope the weather clears up soon...but I know you guys will make the best of it and ahve fun nevertheless. In the end I am sure that these stormy days will also lead to some fun memories.
