I LOVE IT! Well said - may I add one more thing???

WEAR DEODORANT - and if you do not wear it - please do not feel the need to stand in line waiving your arms above your head as you participate in the pre-boarding line at SOARIN (interactive walls)...OMG thought I was gonna die...

Still love Disney though - but going in extreme heat even Disney can be difficult.

Ok, most of these tips could apply to any local Walmart store. Had a lady in there the other day who just stopped her ECV and started to back up without looking....right into another person. I looked at the lady she hit and said very loudly how rude it was for that lady to not even look before backing up and that it doesn't give her free run of the store. My DS was embarrassed because the guy with that lady looked at me.....but I don't care. Rude is rude and I will call you on it.

Oh, and don't forget to move to the side if you insist on trying to walk and talk on your cell phone at the same time. Get's even more iffy when they are walking, talking on the phone, and trying to push something.

And no one would cut in front of me at a parade, just like they don't sit right in front of me in a nearly empty movie theatre. Really......there are other spaces to sit and you sit right in front of me! I am short and already have a hard time seeing. A couple of minutes of complaining does the trick.

I swear that all of the people we are talking about here on this thread were at Six Flags New England on Tuesday with me! Read my non-disney themepark rant found in the Planning Section of these boards (for a laugh). I couldn't wait to come home and share my feelings with all of you on these boards! Not sure it if is the proper forum to discuss it but I said - what the hell anyway and posted it!

Now I know why "Seniors" are grumpy some times, they have had it up to here with "stupid".

DH and I refer to this phenomenon as "transportational narcolepsy": you were going along just fine in the flow of traffic, then you screeched to a halt with no warning (the way that narcoleptics fall asleep suddenly)!
"Transportational narcolepsy"

that is so perfect. Burst out a laugh at work.

Hahahahahaha!!! Oh good golly, that gave me a giggle. LOL!!

And the teenage daughter with no bra (as a mom to an 8-year-old-going-on-13 daughter, my mouth still hanging open in shock, horrified) -- reminds me of my husband's report of the teenage girl at our community pool that had a bikini on -- and apparently the bottoms were pretty low. So low that her stubble was showing. 1) EWWWWW and 2) This is our community pool where families take their children So glad I didn't see that ... I would have been tempted to find someone to escort her from the pool.

Love it might I add, if you are going to WDW please be aware taht childrena dn families are here and most of us do not wnat our children exposed to your personal private parts, please think before you dress! Funny I dont ever come home relaxed either, as I say Walt disney World is not a vacation for our family, it is a break from reality which everyone needs, but I run a tight ship, and schedule, I too am exhausteed by the time we get home!!! Thats just my opinion!!

These are the key words right here. What we would like to say or do...not what we acutally would do.

I think all the people you were talking about were at Publix tonight. I had a man at the check out speaking past me to a woman. Seems that she lost one of her shopping carts and apparently the person driving the cart, lol. So I was supposed to sit there while they gathered everyone at the check out. Meanwhile I have to drive a mile in the hot sun to get home and am tired from shopping. First thing that came to mind was WDW and how people will get in line then more from their group and finally at the end that last ones get in line. Excuse me but we all have to join the person at the front of the line.

I ran into so many tourists last night doing what you mentioned like blocking the aisle while they group decide what to buy just like people stopping on Main Street to discuss their plans for the day.

I've come to the conclusion that many people just don't have mirrors in their homes anymore.

Different parks, different folks and customs. I find the most polite crowds, by far, in Toyko. Huge crowds yes, but kindness and honesty prevail and since a lot of people still "dress" to go to Disney there, you don't have to worry about anyone "showing too much". It's more common to wonder how anyone can walk through the park wearing high heels?!!
Paris, although IMHO, the most lovely of all of the Disney parks, can be frustrating it you're expecting manners and assistance from a CM in enforcing rules. Personal space during parades, at least during holiday time, is unknown-even if you're all set with a good vantage point, expect a guy topping 6'4" to crowd in front of you and then invite all of his friends to join him. As for enforcement of special seating areas for visitors with disabilities, that's not going to happen (and you'll need a note from you MD explicitly stating your medical condition to apply for a GAC,no privacy rules there!). Any number of people in a party can accompany a person with special needs and then proceed to stand and block the views of those who are in wheelchairs or need seating. CMs will not interfere, even when expressly asked to. Actually, admittance to special seating areas is capriciously enforced- I've seen a double amputee in a wheelchair with his wife and two kids denied admittance to the roped off area (and there was plenty of room) while 2 women and 7 kids, none with a visible disability and all fully ambulatory, we're waved right on in. I actually reported the CM who was involved in that because he was loud and verbally abusive to the man in the wheelchair, and was told that "the CMs were free to do as they wished"! And smoking is rampant in the park. I had nightmares about small kids waking into lit cigarettes being carried down at their eye level! Again, I was told that "Disney couldn't enforce no smoking rules", which is absurd because it's private property requiring paid admission. The crowds are made up of people from many countries, but French is the language needed to communicate with park staff. Overall, the youngsters are much better behaved than at WDW or DL and parenting is quieter with better results. Could that be because there are no WalMarts?!
