Please,, tell me that my Family is not the only one who had ever had an absolute horrible trip at Disney.
We usually make our trip the last week of September. It would be less crowded and before F&W festival. Well, our vacation 1 week ago was a nightmare from day 1.
1. The Crowd was super bad.
2. The MNNSHP was a total waste of money for the same reason. My poor little DGD only had 2 stops for trick & treating and was not able to take any pictures with Characters.
3. Pop Century was such a big disappointment to us (not the Food Court), we are not sure if we want to stay there again. The rooms were deplurable.
4. 2 Days after we arrived my DGS had to go to the Celebration Emergency Room.
5. 3 days later we all had a viral sinus infection. My DH said he always felt better after leaving the room. But by Friday he was unable to get out of the bed.
6. Our DD and DSIL had to rent a car to get our little DGS home to his regular Doctor to get him well. The Airline tickets are non-refundable that makes me sad.
This is just some of the problems we encountered on our trip. I wish someone could at least tell me, where did such a big crowd come from!!!! Now we have to decide when would be the best time for us to go on Vacation. Unless this week with the crowds, were just an effect of Hurricane Isacc.
I am still very shocked and upset that our trip was such a horrible experience and I hope nobody else ever has to go through this. We all work very hard to save our money to go on magical trips. I can handle sickness, it happens and I can live with that.
Thanks for allowing me to explain my total Disappointment!!!!
I'm so sorry you had such a bad experience!!! What dates were you there? We were there Sept 27-30. We went to MNSSHP on Sept 28, and while it was sold out, we actually didn't find the crowds to be that bad at all. I'm sorry you had a different experience. If you were there when we were, one thing that made the crowds so high was the Tower of Terror Ten Miler that was going on Saturday (Sept 29) evening. ALL of the values and mods were sold out during the weekend, and the deluxes were quite full as well. I hope your next experience is a much better one!
Sorry to hear that your trip was so awful. We usually go right after Thanksgiving, when the crowds seem more moderate, and have always been happy with our rooms at our value resort (Music). Did you notify the management at POP that your room was unsatisfactory? The housekeeping supervisor may have missed it. Or were there other issues besides cleanliness?
Local folks often take advantage of the Food and Wine Festival and MNSSHP, especially on the weekends, so that may account for some of the crowds.
I am so sorry about the illness you had to deal with. Our son became ill two days into a 7 night trip one year, and we spend the next five days with him in the room before going home; not my favorite trip! Hopefully your child has completely recovered now. I would also see if you can appeal to the airline for an exception to their refund policy (would they really have wanted a sick child to fly?), or even a voucher for some part of it toward a future flight.

How disappointing for your family. I hope that everyone is feeling better now. We've usually had good luck with crowds in September and October.

Thank you Sandra. I am already working on trying to get something for my kids airline tickets. F & W Festival started the day we left. Our MNNSHP was on a Tuesday Sept. 25th. I guess it was just one of those weeks.
