Ok....silly question, but will these bands be the kind that have to be cut off at the end of your stay, or more like a bracelet? Silly I know....but my DD and I both hate the kind that have to be cut off....hard to sleep w/! I know we could opt out and use KTTW, but just curious : )
I don't really care for the wristband idea, because plainly, I don't want to wear it. As far as CC info ..no way will I have that swinging off of my wrist. I never have it put on my KTTW either. I prefer for that info to be seperate.

I'm with you 100%. I'm hoping its something you can take off. I'll wear it through the entry and then put it in an RFID bag.
Keep in mind that you will now (or will soon) have to enter a PIN to use your resort charge at a merchandise location (whether you use the wristband or the KTTW card.)
Which means they've actually added a layer of security to their process.

I like the sound of adding PIN codes. I can't wait to see this new technology.
A few years from now, this will be the norm EVERYWHERE! No one wanted ATMs either. Now, a daily routine without one is much more difficult for the generations that now rely on them.
I wish they would use these on the cruise line instead of your card, it would be so much easier for the kids and I would not have to worry about them losing their card. I have no problem the RFID, I really do not see that big of a difference from the KTTW card only that the info goes thru the "air" instead of being swiped into a computer. If you do not want to attach your credit card to it then don't. I have been to WDW 26 times and have never had any issue with wrongful charges or identity theft. As far as them "following" me, it does not bother me in fact if they see this old lady go to the bathroom every hour maybe they will see that they need to put a few more in. LOL You go to citys like London and they have so many cameras that you are being followed the whole time and it is just not electronically but by cameras. I think it is great that if your child gets lost that they are able to pinpoint exactly where they are, in fact I think it would be awesome if we were able to access that info on our smart phone so I can keep track of where my teenager is at any given time.

I agree! That's true about cameras being everywhere anyway. It would just be easier.
Having just gotten back and used the RFID keycards, I can't wait for RFID wristbands. We had the easiers park-entrance with the RFID gates in any of our 4 trips. I never had to wait for more than 1 person in front of me, compared to 5+ minutes with the old tickets.

Thanks for posting a happy experience. So are the RFID keycards different than the KTTW cards? I am glad it limited your waiting time. Did you use this to get into the room as well? The last time we went we were supposed to be able to pass the KTTW card 'near' the door and it would open. We had problems. I think we are just spastic though. Did you use it for anything other than park entrance? Charging?
