The RFID tags are very thin, and shouldn't affect the appearance of thickness of the KTTW card. I got to use the "sticker" version a while back, and it didn't affect the card, was super easy to just tap against the RFID reader in the "turnstile" area before I put my finger on the thingy to be read, and I was through in seconds. It made it much easier for strollers as well, both for the families using strollers and for the people in line behind them.

The room keys just need the same type of tap. I used them at a Marriott this summer, and I didn't even have to take the key out of my wallet. I just tapped it against the door unit and it clicked open.

This would be so nice! Especially since the last time we were at WDW they were still the 'swipe' cards and I would say 75% of the time they didn't work!

That's another benefit of RFID -- they won't "demag" like the stripe on the back of a credit card or room key card.

They looked just like the pre-RFID KTTW cards. And they were nice for opening the room doors. Mine even worked through the wallet. Now if only the reader was a bit lower so I didn't have to take my wallet out of my pocket!

I did not use the RFID to pay - we arrived a couple days before they enabled that option for our report. I did attempt to use it once - it worked just like the entrance to the park and was easy. But then it asked for a PIN, which I didn't have and the CM had to cancel the transaction and go back to the card swipe. I saw people doing the other before we left though. Looked painless, although not really much different touching your card and entering a PIN than in just handing it to a CM.

It will be nice getting in easier with stroller, sometimes the cm would be busy at the next turnstile and you were holding up the line waiting to get in with stroller. It sounds like it is an easier system than putting your card in the old way. We will see in Aug.
