| What new countries for Epcot? People have been asking this for years, but it always brings up some great answers.
What new countries would you like to see at Epcot's World Showcase?
I'd love to see Egypt. Outside would be an open-air plaza showcasing modern Egypt's culture, architecture, art, and food. The main building would be a giant Sphinx. Walk into the building between the Sphinx's paws and you're transported to the Giza Platuea at night 4000 years ago (similar to Mexico's fabulous Plaza de los Amigos), with the Pyramids and the Nile glowing under the light of a full moon. Annubis and Horus statues line a boulevard market with merchants in period costumes selling art work, clothing, and snacks, and to one side would be a museum showcasing the history and culture of the ancient Dynasties.
So let it be written, so let it be done! |

| Re: What new countries for Epcot? Hi WilCad: Definately a fun question. I think Austrailia would be cool and a south American Country like Brazil or Argentina would also be a neat change. Remember the magic. Jerry |

I was just wondering, what is going on with the Spain they had? I really enojyed what I saw there last December and I was wondering is it temporary or are they going to expand it? |

| Re: What new countries for Epcot? Spain and Australia seem like good candidates since they've both had mini pavillions at Food & Wine Fest. Plus Spain's supposedly been a done deal for awhile now (get it done already). I'd be psyched with Spain. Austrailia I might rather see as a new land in AK someday, but I'd take it in World Showcase in a hearbeat.
Egypt I hadn't really thought about, but it's my new favorite Same concept as Mexico is a brilliant idea. That plaza in the Mexico pavillion is my favorite spot in all the parks. |

| Re: What new countries for Epcot? I think the World Showcase has done a great job representing North America, Europe, & Asia. I would love to see Australia, Egypt and Brazil. I agree with Marcie, Russia would be a very cool pavilion. And an island country like Figi, (or Australia) placed in the middle of the lagoon..... |
