| Magical Moments Electronic Game or MM Trivia Game? Which is better for younger kids? My oldest DD is 4 and I was thinking about getting something to do to occupy her in line. What age is the video game one geared towards? She gets frustrated easily, and I'd rather avoid buying something that will just add to the frustration of waiting in line.
Are the trivia questions something that a younger child who lives off of disney movies/DC cartoons could answer? I'm leaning in this direction because it would be more of a family activity.
Are they available in most of the shops? Or is there a place I can get them ahead of time? I have a link to Main street megastore, but don't want to wait a month because that's cutting it close.
Thanks Guys!

| Re: Magical Moments Electronic Game or MM Trivia Game? Hi Bec34!
I'm also interested in this game. My son is 12 and I'm wondering if this would be something he could keep himself busy with in line too. Would you be able to send me this link to the Main Street Megastore? And any info you may have too!

| Re: Magical Moments Electronic Game or MM Trivia Game? I could be remembering this wrong, but I seem to recall reading about some very dissatisfied folks with the Main Street Megastore and their service. Just thought I would mention the possibility of poor handling of an order. |

I also thought I'd heard not so great things about them, but their Shipping FAQ made me decide against using them:
Shipping and Order Tracking
Q: How long will it take for my order to ship?
A: Depending on the items ordered, orders generally ship within anywhere from 5-25 days but sometimes can take slightly longer or shorter.
So unless your trip is far out, I wouldn't take the chance.
I suppose there's always ebay.....
If you decide to shop there, please let me know how it goes for future trips.
Thanks,
Becky |

I may wait until the 2nd or 3rd day to give it a try anyway, it all depends on how well we all do the line thing. But I'm glad to know I can get them just about anywhere.

| Re: Magical Moments Electronic Game or MM Trivia Game? You're welcome Becky. I don't remember if I said this part, but we STILL play ours! Once the battery dies, and you put new in, it'll reset itself and won't have as many categories, but after playing it for a certain time, they'll all open up again. I was mad the first time I had to replace the battery. Thought, great, they only work while at WDW. So glad I was wrong about that!

You can reset ALL the games when changing batteries if you press the up/down buttons over and over a few times. -HiddenMickey |

| Re: Magical Moments Electronic Game or MM Trivia Game? We could never get the games to load in the Parks themselves and became really frustrated with the game at that point, so we read the instructions and there was something in there about resetting the games after you left the parks. Luckily we remembered this, because we've had to change batteries at least once and just last night my DD wanted to play and we realized it was time to get new batteries again. -HiddenMickey |

| Re: Magical Moments Electronic Game or MM Trivia Game? I don't know if this is the game you are talking about, but I bought a hand-held Disney Trivia Game for my children last summer to play on the car ride during our vacation. I got it at Wal-Mart for about $8.95. It plays music, asks trivia questions, asks you to identify Disney characters from their photo, etc. My children loved it. I believe it was for ages 7 and up, but you can read the questions to the kids that can't read yet. My children did not get frustrated or bored because there was a great variety of difficulty on the questions (my kids were 8 and 13). You can turn the sound down or off so as not to affend others in line with you.
Another great past time for ride line is bubbles (my kids had bubble pens you wear around your neck). Also those mini Magna Doodles are great if your kids like to draw. |

Bubbles! What a great idea--knowing my DD that may be her favorite part of the trip hehe.

Forgot to mention it is Mickey-head shaped, so it's easy to spot on the racks in the store |
