| Re: extra magic evening hours!!! here's the info from all ears............
AS OF JANUARY 2, 2005,
WDW WILL IMPLEMENT A NEW EXTRA MAGIC HOUR PROGRAM WITH BOTH MORNING AND EVENING EXTENDED HOURS. THIS COINCIDES WITH THE KICK-OFF OF THE NEW "MAGIC YOUR WAY" TICKET PROGRAM.
Extra Magic Hour, a program that allows you to visit a particular theme park on a designated day beyond regularly scheduled operating hours, is offered only to those staying in Walt Disney World-owned resorts, the Walt Disney World Dolphin & Swan Resorts, Shades of Green, and the Hilton Resort at Downtown Disney.
NEW MORNING SCHEDULE
Monday -- Epcot
Tuesday -- Disney-MGM Studios
Friday -- Magic Kingdom
Saturday -- Animal Kingdom
NEW EVENING SCHEDULE
Sunday -- Disney-MGM Studios
Tuesday -- Animal Kingdom
Wednesday -- Magic Kingdom
Thursday -- EPCOT
Transportation for the park offering Morning Extra Magic Hour will begin 30 minutes earlier than the park opening time. You'll need to show your resort ID at the gate. Select attractions will be open in each park. See BELOW.
NEW DAILY SCHEDULE WILL LOOK LIKE THIS:
Sunday -- Disney-MGM Studios (evening)
Monday - Epcot (morning)
Tuesday - Disney-MGM Studios (morning); Animal Kingdom (evening)
Wednesday - Magic Kingdom (evening)
Thursday - Epcot (evening)
Friday - Magic Kingdom (morning)
Saturday - Disney's Animal Kingdom (morning)
Morning Extra Magic Hour occurs one hour prior to regularly scheduled park opening. You'll need to present a valid Key to the World Card at the park's turnstiles.
Evening Extra Magic Hours typically extend three hours beyond park's scheduled closing time. You'll need to obtain a wristband at the theme park by presenting a valid Key to the World Card at one of several designated locations no sooner than two hours prior to park close.

| Re: extra magic evening hours!!! WooHoo!! Going with my 23 year old DS who is a total night owl/not-get-out-of-bed-early type guy. This is fabulous news. We will only be able to take advantage of the Wed/Thur night extra hours as we will only be there from Wed-Sat. I was actually planning to not go into the parks on Wed. as our flight does not arrive until after noon but with the extra night hours I think I will change those plans. The excitement grows! |

| Re: extra magic evening hours!!! I think it stated that the parks will be open 3 hours past thier normal time. so instead of being 7pm and 11pm it would be 10 pm and 2am???? that's how I read it to be..... |

| Re: extra magic evening hours!!! As for Epcot - it only looks like there are a couple of attractions that don't already stay open until the regular close (Universe of Energy, JIYI with Figment, and Living with the Land (which won't be an issue while closed for rehab, although I'm wondering how the tour will be different in the dark!)
I think these attractions will still close at 7, and then reopen when the park closes.
I can't find it right now, but it seems that the official Disney word is that the evening EMH is "up to 3 Hours" so don't count on the whole 3 hours, I'm guessing this will vary occasionaly based on traffic, and how late the park would be open. |
