When to book tour?

How far in advance can you book the Family Magic Tour? I kept toying with the idea for our May trip and then I dropped it. And now as I'll be coming up on my PS calling date next month, I'm wondering if I need to call soon (or should have called?) or at least decide if we're doing this or not LOL

Re: When to book tour?

I seem to recall calling for some of our tours for our May trip at around this time last year, so I'd give it a go and see if you can book something.

Re: When to book tour?

I talked to someone at 1-800-939-tours yesterday about the Keys to the kingdom tour and he said 90 days out.

Re: When to book tour?

Is the 800# the number to call for all WDW tours? I'd like to find more information on any tours (although not Segway) available in Epcot.

Re: When to book tour?

I already booked my Family Magic Tour for July, so you can go ahead and book now.

I also already have the Steam Train Tour booked too.

I guess you can book tours farther in advance than I thought - I have to get going on booking that Segway tour!

I just called and booked Backstage Safari, around the World @ Epcot (Sedgeway tour), and KTTK. I called the tours dept? (1-407-939-8687) that's listed in my AP Benefits booklet. The prices listed include taxes by the way. With the AP 15% discount all three tours were only $172.55( (saved $30.46). You have to pay at the time of booking and they have a 48 hour cancellation policy.

Re: When to book tour?

That's OK...I'm now wondering if I should add DH & the little guy to the tour too since originally I was just going to have them stay at the hotel, etc... but the way it's working out as this is the day we have checked-out, they are either going to have to come to the park with us or ??? I suppose DH & little guy could go do Fantasyland together or something?

I just think 1 year old is too young for this tour (he would have to be in the stroller and I think that would be cumbersome)!! Decisions, decisions as you say!

I honestly don't know...I *thought* I had read in many places that you could book tours about 1 year out. Once they are loaded for the year, you can book. I didn't call an 800 number though. I think I ended up at Disney Dining because I know it threw me for a loop when I called the "tours" number and they answered Disney Dining?? Or something weird like that. (I booked this quite a while ago so don't remember exactly! I know I saw other posts that people were booking their 2005 tours, so I immediately called - I'll try to see if I can find when I booked - I found it, I booked on Novemer 19!!) The CM didn't hesitate at all, took my information, gave me the confirmation number and all the info you need (where to meet, restrictions, etc...).

Maybe with the change over to Magic Your Way things changed? We were already booked on the Gold plan and had no clue Magic Your Way was coming at that point.
