Odd theme park question

I'm sure i'm an odd ball for this & have hesitated even asking this question ( or should I say giving my reasoning for the question) but here goes....

When does WDW start using their Christmas music? Is it right after Thanksgiving after the decorations are put up?..

Now for my reason... When we were in WDW last year over the new years we did enjoy the Christmas music piped in to the theme parks BUT on our last day the Christmas decorations were taken down & as we walked into the MK to the familiar DISNEY music my DS turned to me & said "Now, it feels like Disney!" & he was right.. I too missed that music putting me in the Disney mood.

We are (very)tentatively planning a trip for late fall this year & as much as I would love to go to Mousefest.. I want to hear the Disney music as well ( Yep, I know I should plan 2 trips!! )
Okay... call me an odd ball ....

Re: Odd theme park question

When we were there in mid-Nov, MGM played Christmas music, but Epcot was still the "usual". It's funny, b/c I *missed* the Christmas music so much, it didn't seem "quite right" to me!

We were at WDW last Nov 5 - 14. The decorations were being put up in the Resorts, but not the parks. There was regular music playing everywhere.

I don't think I'd really like the Christmas music. When I started listening to Disney station on live365.com it was around the holidays and although it was Disney XMas music, I did NOT like it! I love the regular Disney music, but that's just me

Re: Odd theme park question

We were there on Dec. 21 and most places played christmas music, but some had the regular music playing to. I remember some of the countries in World Showcase having there normal music and the cues for rides.

Re: Odd theme park question

I don't think that's odd at all! Disney definitely has their own music that kind of makes you feel like you're really there. I hope you get to hear it on your next trip!

Re: Odd theme park question

If you want to skip the Christmas music being played everywhere at WDW then you pretty much have to visit before Thanksgiving. As soon as Thanksgiving hits, Christmas hits Disney with a vengeance. Although I love all the Christmas decorations and festivities, I also know what you mean about missing the traditional music normally to be found in all the theme parks and the resorts.
