Are the parks really less crowded in early December?

Never went this time of year, figured we would do something different around the holidays this time. Are the water parks open? I am really hoping for smaller crowds and fewer people!

We're also going for the first time at this time of year as well. I know there's usually one water park open, with one usually closed for rehab. We're also hoping for smaller crowds.

Hi Janet,

I was there this year December 5th to the 13th. The crowds where lite during the week but the weekends were busy. I got there on a sunday and went to DTD and it was Croooowded. The weather was nice. It was warm and sunny the first half of the week and cool to cold the second half. So come prepared.

Definitely. We rarely had waits for anything when we went during that time. We'll be going again the first weekend of Dec. this year. Can't wait

You betcha! I went the second week in Dec and it was pretty much dead. When the weekend came it did get really crowded though. But the weekdays were just great.

Re: Are the parks really less crowded in early December?

We were there from 11/28 to 12/4 last year and the crowds were awesome! We walked right on just about every ride there! Even MVMCP was not very crowded because we went on the 2nd night it was offered. The weekends did get a little busier because of local crowds, but the weekdays were perfect!

The weather ranged from shorts & swimming during the day to winter coats at night. Definitely pack for a variety of temperatures. Have fun - it's a great time of year to go because the crowds are light but all the Holiday happenings are in full-force!
